"Due to national transportation delays happening throughout most of the industry, we may temporarily be out of some items. Apologies for the inconvenience and we hope to feed fans' current Taco Bell cravings again soon," the chain told CBS MoneyWatch in an emailed statement.

More specifically, a multitude of complaints on social media pointed to a lack of beef, chicken, hot sauce and 10-inch tortillas at the Yum Brands division, which runs nearly 7,500 Taco Bells, most of them in the U.S.

This is what happens when your unemployment benefits nearly match the median wage in many agricultural states.
Including Louisiana, who is canceling theirs next week.

That leaves you with rice, beans, cheese, tomatoes, and lettuce. Similar to Popeyes,”we outta chicken baby, all we gots is sides. Pull up fo’ me.”

I’m just amazed by the reporting on this.
Reporter notice Taco Bell’s website says that they are experiencing shortages of some ingredients.
So the reporter checks social media to see if anyone is complaining.
Then they email TB for a quote.
Did the reporter even have to get out of bed to write this story?

wait, do you actually expect journalistic integrity from CBS, ABC, FOX, CNN, and MSNBC these days?

I still haven't forgiven them for removing the Mexican Pizza.

They took all of the good stuff off of their menu. My kids and their friends don't even eat there any longer. They all say the same thing, Taco Bell doesn't have anything worth eating any more.

Yep. Three weeks after Google released Project Delta app for finding food. Project Delta is headed by Emily Ma. She holds a patent relating to using magnetic pulses to stimulate electrical currents in the human brain. Nothing to see here…

Ouch. The news doesn't get any better.
Businessman John Catsimatidis (owner and CEO of Manhattan-based grocery chain Gristedes Foods) expects 10% to 14% food inflation by October.
