Using the child tax credit check on things like getting their hair and nails done, new cell phone, new fake lashes, do they feel guilty not spending it on their kids?

I seriously doubt it

Of course not. They’re same women that refer to child support money as their money.

Probably not.
But I'm glad that the retailers in poor neighborhoods are seeing a boost. It's too bad the middle class were excluded from this because of the income limits.
IMO it shouldn't have happened at all.

I saw it hit my checking several two days ago so I increased my 457 deferred comp contribution by $300 a month. Been meaning to do the latter and the monthly tax advance gave me the incentive to tweak my paycheck a bit going forward.

All headed towards their college funds.

Married with 2 kids combined income just under $200k. Wtf business is it if yours what I spend child tax credits on?

I spent mine on increasing my withholdings…..
Went from 3 kids to claim just to 2 that I can claim.
So $6000 credit for 3 to $6000 for 2. I have my deductions set to be plus or minus $200 come tax season. I have to take out what they are sending

150,000 combined income easily includes middle class in almost every state easily.
After rounding up the average wage for a 2 person household is 100,000.
In Louisiana 150k would put you in the 87th percentile.
You can not like the credit, but don't parrot a lie.

Man, I'm not trying to get in a financial dick waiving contest because you are a good poster, I've seen you throughout other threads. So I'm keeping this 100.
Having said that, where are you guys coming from with this "excluding middle class" stuff? This is Louisiana bro, not Cali or New York. Joint at $150k adjusted gross is absolutely middle class.
It's almost like y'all are passively aggressively shaming because you happen to be north of that AGI.
C'mon bro.

I’m sure they’re sick with grief.

I just saw your post and mine is asking Goof the exact same questions. He's a damn good poster, so I'm curious as well where he's coming from with this.
