What camo do yall wear during bow season? I've ordered some first lite gear for an upcoming western hunt but wasn't sure if it would work for bow season in the south

A mosquito net.
Seriously, whitetails don’t care what you wear.

T-shirt, shorts and thermacell

I did order a wick. I guess I was more concerned about the pattern being to light colored. I'll be in ladder stands or a saddle

I have found that wearing brown carharts or blue jeans with a thin wicking camo long sleeve shirt and face mask or beard is best.
I believe that if the deer see me they think I’m an old man or don’t know how to hunt and they ignore me, it seems to work.

Any camo will work. Some may have a slight advantage, but anything will work. You just need something to break up the human figure. I know guys who have killed deer at 20 yards in flannel. As long as you don't draw their eyes by moving, you can be successful. Also, hunt the wind.

Camo doesn't matter. Concealment and movement do. Get in a tree with cover and branches to break up your profile.

Seriously though I love their windstopper products and they have replaced buckles that broke due to me with no questions asked.

Wrangler six pocket camo cotton paints from Walmarks and a camo fishing shirt or t shirt. Having cover is more important than camo.

Scent control > camo pattern. How many times have you been sitting in a tree, wearing camo from head to toe, not moving, watching squirrels forage for nuts, and out of nowhere, you get busted by a nanny doe blowing and alerting the entire woods of your presence ?

Actually, the only thing that I spend any significant $$$ on is the real cold weather gear. The rest is just what I find on sale or clearance.

Winds change by the minute in October. Its tough.
Although i do not hunt October in my pre rut & rut spots, i still try to keep any deer from seeing me during entry & exit. So any of the green camo that does not blob at 80 yards will help.
US Navy digital woodland, M.O. obsession, are 2

My khaki colored free fly plants that I wear fishing (thinnest/coolest long pants I own), fishing style camo shirt (pretty much all bottomland), face mask & THERMACELL. Don't forget the thermacell.
ETA: this is early bow season, obviously adjust as the weather does.

September and October I wear some Red Head woodlands camo pants with a light shirt in the same or similar pattern and sometimes a solid color shirt in green or tan. November and December same stuff but with a heavier Kryptek Highlander when necessary. Late December and into January usually wear an Advantage Max 4 heavy duck hunting coat.
Of course there are several variations of heavy shirts, hats / head coverings, ponchos, rain gear, etc. that I wear depending on the weather. Very little of what I wear matches and as others have said, “movement and scent are usually more important than the camo worn”.

I have an under Armour early season set in forest. I got “last years” sets on clearance around July have several different shirts and a few light fleece jackets. Also use the thermo cell earth scent.
