Love him or hate him, you have to admit the man was an interesting and colorful Louisiana character...certainly the most interesting and colorful one since Huey Long.

Absolutely. He would have fit in well on this Board. Would have loved to visit for a comprehensive dialogue re Religion and Politics.

And like a true Politician, he lied up until the day he died. Just last week he said he was going into hospice care, but was totally fine.
