I certainly feel for desk agents there. Most people who travel are clueless as to what they need, or what to do. They expect the company to make all concessions.

Goddamn dude listening to that little girl cry is soul shattering.
I can’t handle things like that after having my own kids. Abandoning, abusing, or neglecting your own children is beyond my ability to comprehend. That’s video fricked me up.
Horrific parenting is the number one biggest threat and greatest evil our country faces and no one addresses it. It’s depressing and sad .

I think a lot of it is that it is costly, high stress, and that the slightest thing going wrong can leave you stranded indefinitely.
Disagree with most of this. Flying is extremely affordable. People take for granted the ability for us to fly a metal tube weighing tens of thousands of pounds at 30,000ft at 500mph with effectively a 99.99% success rate.
“High stress” is a personal choice. Flying is not innately high stress.

That was tough to watch with the kid crying.
Both of those kids have an uphill battle in life.
“Doomed from the womb”.
So when that child grows up and behaves in a similar manner, will we have sympathy for her or we will say "typical trash" and write her off?
Do we have sympathy now for the mother?
Either parenting matters or it doesn't.

Im so confused. Shes at the check-in line right? How long before the flight did she show up? Please tell me she got there 10 minutes before takeoff and thought she was on time
On Wednesdays, it looks like Frontier does a direct flight from Orlando to Newark at 9:02pm
Holy shite imagine being this dumb

I have a friend that has started making little gift bags for each of the gate attendants and flight attendants on flights. A little treat, a thank you card, maybe little things like chapstick.
She probably spends like 50 dollars total.
But let me tell you, from what she says, the results have been amazing. They all smile and treat her well. She doesn't do it for the upgrades she's trying to be nice because they are dealing with shite like this.
But she's gotten bottles of wine, upgraded to seats and even business class, etc. Its pretty amazing.

curious. At the point where she grabs the metal pole and attacks people with it, ok to shoot?

Depends on the group involved but a lot of times a screamer will get their way because the other people don’t want a scene.
And then there are the people who don’t put up with that shite, which is what we got right here.

Gate Attendants for Frontier or Spirit are like grizzled Sergeants 4 months post D-Day in WW2.
Those frickers have seen it all and come out the otherside. They will put up with nothing from the enemy.

My guess is that this piece of shite was hoping to get a viral video of someone representing the airline yelling at her, calling her a name, or hitting her so she could claim racism and hit the watered down version of the ghetto lottery.

Yeah, when I saw her grab that heavy metal pole and start swinging it at people, my first thought was that it wouldn’t be completely out of line for her to be shot. One or two hits to the head with that pole could easily critically injure or kill someone.
Fortunately she put it down pretty quick.

LOL. I wasn’t even safe there.
When I was 21 and working my way through UGA, I was a BOH Chili’s cook in Athens. Our burgers came stacked in a box with wax paper between patties.
One night when I had closing duty, a man and woman came in about 20 minutes before close. He ordered a rojo burger and I grabbed one from the cooler and cooked it on the griddle.
After it was sent out with the server, she came back and showed me a screw and said it was in the burger. The only thing I could figure was that it came off of the patty forming machine but before I could even think how a damn screw got in the burger this man comes barging into the kitchen and straight back to the line and grabbing me by my shirt while accusing me of placing the screw there. We ended up slipping around on that greasy arse mat when I started grappling with him and ended up on the ground. Knocked a whole 1/6 pan of blue cheese off the counter and all over both of us. I had position and leverage and just held him in a locked position until the manager came to help me. The wife comes barging in screaming “get off him! Let him up!” I said “dude, wtf! If I let you go, are you done, or are you going to keep fighting!” He said “ I am calm now but that shite wasn’t cool.” I said “Okay, I am letting you up and will explain to you what I think happened. But you need to know it wasn’t something that I did.”
He got up, both of us covered in blue cheese and dirty restaurant floor water. I showed him the cooler and how the burgers came packaged to us and how they are run through Forming equipment at a factory. Finally made him realize that the screw probably popped off in that process.
He apologized, we talked about what my major was, etc. while we stood at the griddle cooking him and his wife new burgers to go. We shook hands, apologizes for the incident a few more times, and they left.
Craziest shite that after happened to me in my restaurant days. The other was when Anthony, a cook who legit had 7 .22 caliber scars in his abdomen and chest got into it with Mustafa, an Ethiopian dishwasher. Mustafa didn’t like the aggressive way that Anthony was throwing the line dishes into Mustafas area and they got to throwing dirty dishwater out of soaking pans on one another. Mustafa ended up grabbing a chefs knife and chased Anthony out the back door but couldn’t catch up. I think he really would have started stabbing him if he could but Anthony had a good start and never re-entered the building. They both got fired.
