Main host tells a good story but the staged questions between the two of them kind of aggravates me. Overall a very good show imo.

Both seasons of Dr. Death were solid (albeit terrifying). I listened to CounterClock recently, and liked that, too.

I used to like both of these, but they got annoying when they got more popular.

I'll still listen to MFM every once in a while if a subject interests me, but they waste so much time bullshiteting about nonsense, I lose interest in the actual topic.

Bookmarked this thread to check out some of the suggestions posted.

I'm always looking for new ones. The two above also sort of annoy me. The more popular alot of them get the more commercials and the more some start talking about random shite not related to the case. True Crime Garage is good for straight story and one commercial, but it usually puts me to sleep which is why I listen to it.

I like Sword and Scale, it’s more cut to the chase/facts, details, outcome etc. I also enjoy Small Town Murder...it’s two comedians that cover pretty wild/gnarly, you wouldn’t think comedy and murder would go together but they do a pretty good job meshing the two. Sometimes they get away from the case with the comedy so the episodes can be a little long

Agree. Not even real sure what the other girl adds to the show. Her interjections are often just dumb and pointless.

I do like Crime Junkie because it does usually cover an entire case in one episode as opposed to several episodes. The latter can sometimes drag out and get too far into the weeds. But they also don't always get closure on their episodes.

Not podcasts but YouTube channels (not in ranked order; I enjoy all the content):

1. JCS Criminal Psychology

2. Matt Orchard - Crime and Society

3. That Chapter

4. Coffeehouse Crime

5. TRUE CRIME Loser

6. In Human Form

7. Mirandized

Highly recommend Blowback. The first season is all about the horseshite that led us into the Iraq war and it was very addictive. Season two is coming soon, and its about how the US fricked over Cuba

How are his more recent episodes? This was one of my favorite podcasts til he went nuts a couple years ago fighting with fans on social media. He got dropped from Wondery and started bitching a lot, and I quit listening. I meant to try again.

Check out The Officers Wife. I definitely recommend.

Also, didn’t see anyone mention Culpable. Very good as well.

A Very Fatal Murder

Listened to it a couple of years ago, didn't notice it was the onion/parody when I subscribed.

I thought it was hilarious.

I don’t follow him on social media so I missed all of that drama. Once I was caught up on all the episodes I switched to Morbid and just recently started back on S&C, I haven’t noticed any real differences from his earlier content

I think they're lifelong friends so she lets a bitch hang around.

Agree with this 100%. I wish they'd so some solved cases as well.

I am here to (somewhat) defend LPOTL. As a person who has been studying and fascinated by serial killers for over 20 years and the paranormal/supernatural for about 30, I will white knight the shite out of them.

What other "true crime" podcasts delve into the Magik/occult forces behind these crimes like LPOTL?
