Found these a couple of weeks ago and have listened to 3 different ones so far...

The Piketon County Massacre
Bardstown
Bardstown: Lacombe

All three were excellent. The last one obviously covered Nanette Krentel's murder, which was a long thread on here a while back.

I'm looking for rec's on some other good ones to listen to. What do yall have?

In this bitch.

Been looking for a new podcast, but I get annoyed when the hosts turn everything into a Reddit joke - Last Podcast on the Left is one of the worst offenders.

That Chapter is not so much a podcast but a recap. Very good breakdown of crimes. Releases two episodes a week on YouTube.

Dirty John
Southern Fried True Crime
Your Own Backyard

And everyone here should listed to Real Life Real Crime. It’s been discussed ad nauseam.

"That Chapter" on YouTube is a channel about all that. Decent little documentaries, host is Irish and whatever but after a few episodes you get used to it.

Hollywood and Crime

All of them are multiple episodes. The series on The Black Dahlia was the best podcast I've heard. In addition to The Black Dahlia, it covers the real cases from L.A. Noire that were also happening around the same time.

I'm sure you've listened to Serial, but if you haven't, you should definitely check out the first season.

A few more:

Up and Vanished Season 1
True Crime Garage
Generation Why
Criminal
S-Town
Casefile
Dirty John

FWIW, I hate My Favorite Murder and Last Podcast on the Left. A lot of people like those, but they just piss me off.

I hate that shite so much. Because sure I need fart jokes in the middle of a vivid description of a family of four being dismembered and burned with the family dog. Cool.

I will say that I like a lot of LPOTL’s cryptid and supernatural shite. Those can be fun at times but they’re true crime stuff? No thanks.

No, but some more information came out a few months ago. His brother and girlfriend say he was experiencing paranoia and was on meth the night of his disappearance. He had pulled out his 401K prior to his disappearance, but they're not sure if he ever actually got the money. His last paycheck hit his account through direct deposit, but he never touched it. This case still throws me for a loop. He had a warrant out for his arrest, which would mean some serious time for him in prison. I can see him trying to run away, but things still don't add up for that scenario. His brother also got a call from him after that 911 call. He brought him a can of gas and Brandon was watching him from somewhere. Brandon told him to run from the cop when he was bringing the can to his truck and then hung up. I really hope this one gets solved.

Were some bad, bad men. Mafia is a misnomer. They were a loose collection of career criminals without a fixed heirarchy.

I don’t really think this one is too much of a mystery. Dude was high as giraffe pussy, hallucinating and scared. Ran out of gas and then broke out into the brush to get away from whatever he thought was chasing him. Got lost and died. He could’ve went miles from his vehicle in the state that he was in.

The only mystery is how exactly he died and where it happened at.

I don’t think there was any foul play involved.
