Rental car rates

I live in Florida now, but I’m coming back to New Orleans end of July to visit. Thought I’d fly and rent a car. Checked rental car rates…average $145/day. Crazy! I’ll drive instead. I would think this situation is costing airlines big money. Just sharing…

I had a buddy come in the other day and he rented a uhaul van and paid like $40 a day man

That doesn’t include mileage though, and this will catch on quickly. Not to mention it’s not like picking up and returning will be convenient.
