Coming into tonight we had a had a +45 run lead over the 2nd place Dodgers in runs scored. We've added 12 runs tonight (the Dodgers are scoreless in the 2nd).
Coming into tonight we had 68 more hits than the 2nd place Red Sox. We've got 18 hits, the Red Sox had 4 tonight. That puts us with 82 hits more than the 2nd place team. 82 hits between the Astros and 2nd place Red Sox is the same gap between 2nd place and 20th place in total hits.
