Thanks - that's what I went with. The market is slim these days and I'm really happy with my purchase.

One speed is all you need.
Fixed is even better.

Kudos to the Big Dam Bridge 100 baws. Those drops and top speeds make me absolutely sick thinking about them

Yeah it was pure agony! Had a blast though grinding it out. Glad it’s over with, now onto Marathon training. And the Marathon pain cave has nothing on the places I went to in that damn ride yesterday.

Holy smokes. I wasn't expecting this to be done until at least late Nov early Dec. Got the images of the finished frame today. Sent the balanace I owned them and it should be packed up today and leave Peru tomorrow.

Crazy geometry. Is it super slack gravel bike frame?
Posted on 9/30/21 at 7:13 am to crazyLSUstudent
i've been looking at this frame since last night trying to figure out what it is...

Could be a single speed rigid MTB frame as well. Notice no cut outs for a derailleur hanger and sliding cutouts for adjusting chain tension

Close. Steel single speed hard tail MTB. Not rigid will be running a suspension fork on it. 27.5x2.6" tires. It has sliding dropouts and the dropout adapter is not shown. Setting it up with mixed surface tire (Schwalbe Smart Sam) which have large lugs for off road traction but a continuous center knob that rides surprisingly smooth and buzz free on tarmac.
I have a great mixed surface route close to my house. There is a 1 mile road ride to 3.7 mile loop that is 2.1 miles of single track route with another 1.6 miles of gravel riding to loop back to the beginning of the single track. I work from home and I can run the loop twice and get there and back in my lunch hour. I get a warmup and cool down on the road section. Single track on the single speed gives me a good core workout, and the gravel portion on the single speed gives me a high cadence workout. So I get a little bit of everything. Single track was way too rough for a gravel bike. I ended up selling my gravel bike since I never rode it. But sort of boring on my full suspension trail bike.

Anybody get to watch Paris-Roubaix? It had to be one of the nastiest ever.
Sonny Colbrelli outsprints Vermeersch and Van der Poel.

Even the motorcycle tv crew were going down.
To win that one, everything has to align between skill and massive luck.

Had my first Wipeout this morning, went over the handlebars
Was in a round about on a not so busy street, had the right of way, truck doesn't see me and doesn't yield, so to avoid smashing into the side of of truck I veered left sharply and hit the brakes too fast and went flying
Landed on my arm and shoulder which are now scraped and bruised. Truck driver starts apologizing. It was a work truck so I bet he is glad he didn't hit me as that would have been an insurance problem for his company. I just brushed it off and let it go but I was pissed. But I wasn't going to make a scene at 7am in a round about

Did my second ftp test at altitude. Slowly creeping back up to my sea level ftp. Still got 19 watts to go

I would like to get up to 300 which would put me at 4.7 w/kg. Currently at 266 after the Tuesday test. I was at 285 at sea level. Ultimate goal is to be competitive at Rouge Roubaix.
