She was the kindest, funniest free spirit. I remember coming over and watching her goof off playing drums, wearing these big red noise cancelling headphones. I keep seeing the mental image in my head of her with those gigantic headphones on her little head giggling and cutting up with me, always laughing. Always happy. I fricking hate this. I can’t stop crying. I don’t understand why of all the evil, deserving people in the world, the sweetest child with her ENTIRE LIFE AHEAD OF HER gets freaking cancer and every treatment St Jude could find to use fails her. She was benevolent. She was pure. She was so damn brave. She fought like a damn lion for a year and a half. Rest In Peace, Zoe. Your life touched so many people baby girl. You will live on through so many people. I love you so much kid. I wish there was something more I could’ve done. I wish I could’ve taken your pain from you. You deserved the world. I’m gonna miss you so much. You will be in my heart always. Please pray for this sweet family. They’ve been through hell with this for so long. Just isn’t fair.
Fly high baby

Sharing her facebook page and gofundme with Zoe’s Story on it. Zoe’s Journey

Please pray/send good vibes for this family. Thanks everybody

Life is so fragile. I can’t stand this man. Her parents wanted to try cannabis to see if it’d help with her appetite and pain, and to try RSO etc to see if by some miracle it’d cause apoptosis, but St Jude’s refused to allow it. Children’s Hospital in Colorado allows it, but in her condition moving her wasn’t really an option. I told them both I love them and I’m so sorry. I don’t know what else to say. I’m at a loss. Wish I could wake up and this be a shitty dream.

So sorry for your loss. A child passing away is about the saddest thing that can ever happen and it’s horrible. The only good thing is that she’s no longer suffering and she’s having a party with God right now. I know that doesn’t ease your pain or the family’s pain, but you’ll see her again one day and it’ll be the happiest reunion ever.

Praying for you, baw and for all families dealing with pediatric cancer.

I’ve been through that myself with my son. It is complete hell; just the worst pain you can experience. I really hate this for that family. I hate any parent has to go through this.

Thank you for your words. Knowing she isn’t in pain anymore is one of the only things keeping me from losing my shite. And I can’t wait for the day. They say only the good die young, and I’ve had so many friends and family close to me die before their time that it’s driven it home. I’d been out eating and driving around with talking with a friend all evening, got home and saw it come across my feed and just sank. I still haven’t been to sleep. Every time I get close it just keeps going through my mind.

Thought of you when I was posting it. I’m sorry if this makes you relive that part of everything. If you have any advice on what made it more bearable for them I’d really appreciate it, from words to something I could do to make this easier on them after the funeral. I thought about taking my buddy up to the Ozarks for a few days after the service for a distraction.

Such a tragic loss. Please know I will say a special prayer for all of those that knew this baby doll & her family.

If I were her parents I would have tried it at home and not let St Jude's know. They were probably afraid of interactions. It gives the appetite back in chemo and stops nausea.

These stories are horrible and my heart breaks for those that have to endure it.

I am (however) happy that so many people had their lives impacted by Zoe and that she was able to show them how to live.

Childhood cancer honestly pushes to the limit my belief in religion.
Just isn't fair to have some innocent kid taken away so soon.

i hate to seem insensitive but the answer to your statement is that the vast majority of mankind rejects the answer to mankind's problems. the prevalent belief that bad things happening is or should be related to how evil people are is an erroneous mindset and a major part of the problem.

furthermore a simple answer to cancer has been posted many times on td but doubtful anyone has used it. ive given the info personally to many people and they ignored it and died.

ive done this same thing in other topics. humans seem to have a major flaw of not sbsorbing truth.

I'm so sorry for the loss of this sweet girl. St Jude is an awesome place that leaves no stone unturned.

My daughter and I are St Jude Heroes and are currently fundraising for our goals this year. In fact she's interning with ALSAC, the fundraising arm of St. Jude this summer. It's been her goal for 4 years to get this spot and that's her goal for future employment (2 years left in college).

There is no logic for this brother. Just know she is no longer in pain and is looking down from the embrace of God in Heaven. I speak from personal experience as this day is so conflicting for me. I lost my only biological son on May 16th. I have more good days than bad days but imagine it will take me years to be back to normal. All I can do is pray and be grateful for the lessons I learned from him and the good times we had.
