If Woody hires Bianco, his job is in zero jeopardy. If it doesn't work out, just hire another coach as Skip did when Smoke didn't work out.

But if his choice to replace Coach O (which is much more likely to happen before we have to hire another baseball coach) is a bust, then Woody is probably out on his arse.

I realize LSU is way more passionate about baseball and has high expectations but this hire is not make or break.

Why does LsU continues to hire these retreads when knowingly it won’t work? LSU’s biggest nemesis is itself. Good gosh it’s patently absurd and frustrating as an alum and lifelong fan.

If it's Bianco he needs to be on a short leash. And told so up front. I'd give him a 5 yr contract, with the stipulation that every trip to Omaha he gets a rollover year added to the remainder, but if he doesn't make the CWS in the first 3 years he's out, period. If he makes the CWS semi-finals, a year plus a raise. Win it all and he gets a new 5-yr contract and a raise.

The program cannot afford a Smoke hire at this point, so he gets a short leash. Perform or you're out.
