He had to bc our BOS didn’t want him.

It’s interesting to me that the posters who most consistently defended the results of Mainieri and his inexplicable decisions are the most joyous about all this. Wonder how happy they’ll be when if it’s someone like Bianco.

Sully was our top target and our board torpedoed the deal.

Just praying that there’s truly someone better lined up but that’s a very very short list so we will see

Exactly

He wanted the job and the board got in the way

Welcome to Louisiana. It’s what we do

The reality is that Pat Casey may be the only candidate who is not coaching right now, meaning he is available to come in and interview before other coaches. Guys like Godwin, Bianco, and maybe another who hasn’t been mentioned yet are still coaching and information about interest in those guys will not be public out of respect for them and their teams.

Pat Casey is the “leading candidate” because he’s the only one who interviewed so far! Hopefully this is all a screen and Woodward is being patient. Also, we are still playing and candidates are still coaching. There absolutely should be no rush at this moment to commit to anyone and we need to get through at least this weekend before anything is official!

Does this sound familiar? He isn’t coming to LSU. Not from another reasonably successful SEC team.

This is exactly what Sully and the Florida AD should say, to keep the media buzz down until Florida finds their replacement coach. Rumor is assistant coach Craig Bell was in Baton Rouge on Tuesday shopping at Target for shower curtains, kitchen appliances, and other ‘new home’ items

These people don't know anything. That's why the search seems so chaotic. It isn't, but the media, trying to be the correct guy first jumps all over the place.

I tend to agree with you.

Obviously like everyone here, I don't know anything, but I would guess LSU has an idea of who they want, and are likely close if not guaranteed they have their guy, and all the media/journalists are spitting out crap hoping to be the ones that said they're right.

Moscona jumped into Kendall's sandbox. I want to see a Twitter duel between Moscona and OTOP. Kendall got what he wanted. Stirring the pot for clicks. Kendall's sources are usually pretty solid, but Kendall knows LSU baseball talk generates a lot of impressions. LSU baseball has 306K Twitter followers more than doubling the 2nd largest college baseball Twitter following.

It was sarcasm

I know the board is generally not that intellectually sophisticated, but come on Roger

It isn't the admin. I truly believe it is Skip meddling and releasing false information so that his guy can be picked, so he can keep his hand in the cookie jar and they hire Bianco. As soon as I read about the board rejecting KOS, I knew that didn't sound right. It doesn't get presented to the board for approval until it's a done deal. Who even knows if the title nine crap is real about Godwin or if that it Skip again.
