I had to eat 4 bowls of oatmeal to get stuff moving. Pretty sure I experienced giving birth when it happened. I cried tears of joy.

Sadly, like always, it’s pushing the junkies to the black market, but insurers won’t have to foot the bill for that.

Bingo. They are just cutting them off instead of admitting to decades of failed practice.

this right here is the crux of the issue with our entire society. these shitheads truly believe they are better and smarter than you, and must sell you a snakeoil plan to fix any issue big/small real/immagined that anyone has. And when those two plans run afoul of each other they just make up some more bullshite regulations and politico babble and move to the next "crisis". And our idiot populace slurps it up like dogs that haven't been fed in a week. in the end, us, the normal citizen, that generally tries to do things right, are the only ones getting fricked

Opioids are the safest most effective pain medications we have and in my opinion

This is true to an extent. All they do is relieve pain. 2 side effects. Constipation and possible addiction/misuse. Everything else they try to market sucks. Cox2 inhibitors? arse bleeds or Vioxx used to kill people. NSAIDS arse bleeds again.

The federal government created the monster then tried to kill it. Creating a heroin boom and Chinese fentanyl and veterinary grade Carfentannyl being used.

I’m thinking of trying some Delta 8 THC someday. Before it gets banned too.

to continue I had to do a drug pee test at each m monthly appointment.

On my way out I passed 22 senior citizens waiting for their appointment, ready to confess how many pills taken, do a pee test get the go ahead to pick up another 30 day scrip.

This has been common practice at alot of pain clinics for close to a decade. A family member has gone through the ever-changing pain clinic routine for 20+ years. He was legitimately injured, broken shoulder, damage to vertebrae in his neck, and nerve damage. It was an on the job injury, and the quack doc working for his employer said he didn't need surgery. One year later, "You should have had surgery right away. There's nothing we can do now." So....he's managed with a pain clinic because to keep working, he had to have some relief.

Opioids are the safest most effective pain medications we have and in my opinion nobody should be able to tell you what it takes to relieve your pain. It is much better to take opioids than high levels of Tylenol... that crap will mess you up. Sure if you abuse opioids by taking them in manners not intended you can mess yourself up, but that isn't my problem, I just want my pain gone.

Why stop at opioids? Let’s get some heroin in the mix, too. Maybe we can give that to children instead of Tylenol we have been poisoning them with. Unless there is a drinking problem Tylenol should not cause major issues for pain relief.

If you seriously think opioids are better than Tylenol then you have missed the biggest drug epidemic ever. More people have died from opioids in the US than 9/11, WWI, WWII, Vietnam War, Korean War, Iraq War, Afghanistan War, Revolutionary War and the War of 1812 COMBINED.

It sounds like you hooked on them as you are complaining about government regulations to try to prevent availability to the masses. Opioids were never meant for long term use. Any doctor that has your wife on them for 30 years has got to be questioned about that practice.

The fact you believe people with addiction problems need to die is very unfortunate. I hope you never have to experience the pain of a loved one being in the throes of addiction.

People aren’t taking opioids because they’re injured.

It’s because they’re in unhappy and miserable situations.

Smoking weed won’t help either. It does nothing to solve the problem. It just helps you accept the misery

Seriously go frick yourself. I live every waking moment in pain. Not from an injury. From a genetic mutation that has wrecked my body to hell and back. Not everyone is a pill junkie trying to get a fix. You are the reason we have to suffer undo scrutiny and constant monitoring like we are some kind of criminals for just wanting to feel like we can get up and walk....let alone have a functioning life. I'm not a senior but I have to now go through this archaic and bullshite system of laws that punish the patient instead of punishing the doctors and manufactures of these drugs for lying to people and encouraging non stop use or just out right ignoring the laws and letting people pay cash for a bottle of pills.

I most definitely took opiods because I was injured after shattering my ankle. Had 3 surgeries and lots of precious metal installed. After the nerve block wore off, I was watching the clock to see the next time I could pop a pill because all they did was take the edge off.

My shite was minor compared to someone with chronic pain. Wouldn't wish that on anyone.
