I am definitely not a radically progressive ideologue, but I genuinely support Pride. I firmly believe that consenting adults should be able to have sex with whomever they please however they please in any way that brings them joy and contentment.

I'm not terribly bothered either way
I do think it's a little stupid to celebrate an immutable characteristic and it's particularly annoying that we're force fed such celebration by corporations, government, etc.. It's also, by nature, not exactly a series of wholesome events. It's often pretty cringeworthy or gross.
Used to work with a gay guy who was a leftist, but he was adamant that most of the Pride stuff wasn't helpful. His mindset was that it emphasized/required conformity to the most extreme (and in his mind worst) parts of gay culture, and that it would just continue to perpetuate the idea of gay people and couples being different than everyone else. He wanted gay people to live in neighborhoods with a a house and a dog and adapt to normal American life without continuing to promote gayness as some sort of counterculture.
