I haven't seen anyone suggest going after Bianco. He has made Ole Miss a competitive program for several years. LSU grad coming home. Lots of ties to community and great recruiter.

He’s middle of the pack. Not bad but not great.

There are more attractive and decorated coaches out there

Ok. Explain why he's better than the list of names that keep popping up for LSU?

They have. Seems like woody likes to go after the top dog sure things and pay big money. Sully will at the very least keep us consistently winning. Could be worse.

1 CWS appearance in 20 seasons might have something to do with this

Bring him home. Proven winner. Championship level coach.

If LSU ever had any intention on bringing Mike home, it would have been when we hired Paul in 2006. That ship has long sailed

If he had more postseason success and Omaha appearances he would definitely be a candidate.

Unfortunately, he doesn’t.

20 years and 1 trip to Omaha and only 1 SEC reg season championship isn’t enough. And Ole Miss has the baseball support and resources and he’s had capable teams to make runs, but he just hasn’t done it and taken them to that next level for whatever reason(s).

He’s solidified himself as merely a good/decent coach, but certainly not a great/elite coach. LSU needs and wants a great/elite coach or someone with the potential to be great/elite.

Mike Bianco has been at Ole Miss since June 2000 (20+ years). Only been to Omaha once in 2014 and only made it to Super Regional round 6 times in 20+ years. Sorry but that’s not the LSU standard of performance. That’s ok for Ole Miss I suppose for being there 20 years but with that performance, he wouldn’t make it at LSU past 2-3 years.
