Apparently I have a little tear in my left bicep tendon, so my new summer program is going to be a lot of legs.

I will be that guy at the gym that skipped arm day now

I’ve been dealing with lateral epicondylitis for a month or two. My biceps are flatter than Elliot Page at a pool party right now

Feels like I’ve been on some variation of 531 for 18 months with the occasional foray into random stuff (Candito, Texas Method).

This summer, largely dictated by professional commitments, I’m turning my brain off and running Kinobody’s Greek God program (squats and deadlifts added intelligently). I’m sure it’ll be shite, but I need simple 3 day program i can run during a cut with a slower progression than Greyskull.

531 will always be my home, the templates are damn near infinite, but I just need to do something different for a minute. Who knows, maybe I’ll strike gold with Kinobody even though it seems like a meme program.

Jesus, you need a spreadsheet to keep up with all this crap. What happened to just going to the gym and killing a body part. Lol

NA, RPT is a legit as frick progression method. And despite greg being a giant douche, his programming is pretty damn good.

Greg is still a fricking douche lol.

we found out through science that its very ineffecient and if you are not using progressive overload and tracking through a log book or spreadsheet....well that is a recipe for looking exactly the same next memorial day.

Can you give me a program recommendation? 28 years old and been lifting consistently for 2 1/2 years now although the first year I didn't really know what I was doing. I've done greyskull, switched to body by rings when the gyms closed, and then moved into a few of the MAPS programs. I track everything and consistently get to the gym 6-7 days a week (only 3 days of intense lifting). I'm not nearly as strong as I'd like to be and want to capitalize on my last couple of years of youth before my test starts dropping so my goal is to start trying to push the weight of my core lifts as high as I can. This will be my first time eating consistently in a surplus.

Currently running Average to Savage 2.0 mixed with a Greg Nuckols 3x a week Intermediate Bench Program. Contemplating doing a meet in July, but I want to get my numbers up some more. Happy with my results so far, not sure how much I'll be able to gain in 6 weeks though.

Well greyskull, maps,531 are all good programs.

In your case since you are wanting to be in the gym that much, I would hit uo one of john meadows programs, prolly the new powerbuildering unity program, program x or program y.

Or one of the pen and paper strength app programs, run a couple times

Another option is ws4sb or sb911 by defranco

If you want both size, strength and conditioning then take a look at brian alshures programs, specifically powerbuilsing, 4horseman and mass builder...if that's something you are interested in, you can email me and I'll send you them

I'm doing 5/3/1 with modified T2 and T3 accessories:

Sunday
Deadlift 5/3/1
Squat 4x8/Chin Ups x8 superset
Lunges 4x8/Planks superset

Tuesday
OHP 5/3/1
Bench 4x8/Pull Ups x5 superset
Bent Over Row 4x8/Skullcrushers x8 superset

Thursday
Squat 5/3/1
Sumo Deads 4x8/Chin Ups x8 superset
Hip Thrust 4x10/Planks superset

Friday
Bench 5/3/1
Seated Press 4x8/Curls x8 Superset
T Bar Landmine Row/Skullcrushers X8 Superset

Training for half marathon Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Throwing in a mile or two after my workouts on Tuesday and Friday as well. Not worried about pace or time. Just getting in the cardio and enjoying running.

Strength goals are being measured in 6 week blocks. Running two 5/3/1 cycles in a row and then doing a 7th week deload/training max test. Plan is to take this to December 31st. I change up programs WAY too often. Need to stick something out to make sure it works.

Starting Numbers (calculated maxes):

Deadlift: 340
OHP: 140
Bench: 235
Squat: 230

Goal is to perform the following the first week of January:

Deadlift: 405
OHP: 165
Bench: 275
Squat: 275 (maybe higher here since I'm starting low after doing mobility work for a while)

I saw PPSA mentioned a few times so I got Pool Season II to try something different. I’ve mainly been doing strongman training so I wanted a little break for the summer. I also got HIBB while it was on sale for Memorial Day. I plan to try that after the PPSA program.

HIBB is another level! I like it but I am no where near using the weights he suggest.

If you don’t mind, send me pool season and I’ll return the favor. d o z ry a @ gmail

Hold on boys, where is this PPSA stuff coming from? I thought I’d heard of every program under the sun...somehow completely missed these.

Any reviews/results?

PPSA are great programs. Just 4 weeks, simple heavy arse slag iron lifting. lots of volume and usually 4 days a week.

Not for everyone but great for a change up. Pen and Paper is who writes the squatober programming every year. go look at their instagram pen and paper strength app to get an idea of what the programming looks like.
