Yes, a JW in my neighborhood wrote me a handwritten letter. I just threw it away.
I also threw mine away after reading it.

I once dated a JW when I was a young lad. Her mother, also a JW, was handicapped. She was directed to hand write letters to community members to get whatever "credits" she should have been earning by going door-to-door. In coronaworld, I imagine they have all been ordered to do as such.

I was on bourbon years ago and fell into the conversation trap with one of those zealots that are out there shouting at all the sinners. He gave me an envelope that included a hand written letter talking about how God chose me to receive this message, and it included a $20 bill.

I hate to sound harsh - but we are pretty involved in the church that we attend - I’ve told the JW’s this when they’ve come to the door.
My mother lives with us - so we have holy items everywhere, outside as well - I think we are the wrong target, and writing the letter was a waste.

From speaking to Jehovah’s and reading their literature, they go door to door to earn credits, hoping to make their way into the 144,000 spoken of in Revelation.

When I 1st started out in Consumer Lending part of the process was doing collections. One of my problem accounts was a JW family so I didn't GET notes FROM them I Mailed them letters.
It all stopped and they suddenly paid off the entire loan when I answered my apartment door one evening just before dark. The wife and 2 other women JW were doing door to door evangelizing/proselytizing in my complex. The look of terror on her face when I answered was hilarious.
Without knowing anything about me, her friends were giving softball setups that I could have embarrassed the crap out her and her family had I so chosen. Instead I just smiled a lot and made affirming comments about keeping promises and living up to one's word and contracts. (Of course they were talking about God's promises and stuff)
It was really entertaining watching her turn beet red and sweat. Never heard from that family again. Just a payoff check in the mail about 4 days later.

Yes, twice during Covid. Checked my mail and googled return address to find Jehovah church.

I have a friend in Florida whose mother is a Witness, and yes, she has been hand writing letters during the year of COVID.

I had the exact thing happen last week. Hand written note with a tract enclosed. The note in mine was anonymous. Did not leave a name.

I received one last month... I guess they're sitting around writing them constantly.

Those are Mormon’s, not JW’s. Not that it matters, both are kind of cultish in their own way.
Yeah, but Mormons have more than their fair share of hot womenfolk. You go up to Northern Utah and there are way more blonde hotties than it has any right to have.

I’ve received 2 in the last 2 years

Pretty sure I've received hand-written notes or ones that look like it, anyway.
I want to try a new tactic. I'll keep a copy of the Watch Tower and a Mormon Bible in the table by our front door, and I'll clutch one when the other calls.
Have you heard the good word? Have YOU heard the good word?
That, or I'll have my cub scout sell them some popcorn.

Not defending them, but they can't exactly knock on your door and try to talk to you with all the covid hysterica these days.

I know you are joking, but those were Mormon's. Jehovahs witnesses are too lazy to ride bikes, so they used to go driveway to driveway in their cars.
