I’m gaining weight like crazy ...15 lbs in past year. Have not changed anything...eat like a bird. Any suggestions on how to lose this weight? I’m guessing increased activity. I hate being fat!

Could be your issue, birds eat a lot.

Probably a bad example. Put it like this....my eating habits haven’t changed.

Just start walking every day and stay away from sugar, especially at night. My dad is your exact age and this has helped him tremendously.

Might help if you expanded a bit. What is your daily diet? What's your physical activity like? Any recent health concerns? Underlying conditions?

be in a caloric deficit. there is no secret workout, supplement, diet, etc. that will make you suddenly lose all your weight. You need to be in a caloric deficit through not eating as many calories, increasing your daily activity and calories burned, or a combination of the two. that's it.

Taking any testosterone supplements? That could help boost metabolism.

You're just going to have to stop aging.

True, but then you'll just be flabby and thin too. At 65 I'd imagine he needs a thyroid and testosterone test.

So, what is your current height and weight and what is your target. I am 6’1.5”, 68 and lost 30 pounds from 235 to 205 over 18 months and now hover near 208-210 now.
More protein, less calories, keep moving, start light weight training and exercise. Do eeeeeet!

I’m 5’6” and weigh 178. I’d be happy with 165.

Aside from the caloric deficit post that is dead on, start lifting weights with a good program...crazy fun and good for someone your age, I’m 56 btw.

I think that's the problem. He's expanding a bit more than he'd like.

I don’t recommend that.

Or like the Walton & Johnson diet plan proposes.
Eat less, move more. Simple as that really.

As I remember, you got your panties in a huge wad and insulted me for telling you table salt isn't the reason you have high cholesterol.
So which is it?
