Even those who like Davenport has to have some sort of breaking point of compensation they would accept to move on from him.

He relieves us a small amount this year and takes 100% of his 5th year option off the books next year say we trade him.

A 1st?

A 2nd and change?

I wish so badly he could remain healthy because he's shown so much improvement and promise, but at some point we're gonna have to cut our losses (mainly the 13 1st rounders we gave up to get him)

If we could get back all 16 of our first round picks we traded for him.. I’d take it

Interesting question. Any scenario where the saints win 10-11 games this year almost certainly involves Davenport being a very good player in 2021 for the saints. Given his skill set, I’d rather bet on him taking a leap this year than punting on this season and trying to recoup value for him now.

The haul would need to be something like two 1s or a 1 and 2. Given his actual production to date I can’t imagine that haul is attainable.

I don't think he would truly fetch more than a 4th.. draft pick value is odd compared to player true value.

I'd rather see if he has a breakout year or not, then sign him to a contract or get a comp pick for him.

I'd take a 1st for him though. 2 2nds as well.

Davenport reminds me of one of those players in Madden that’d be rated a 72 at his position. You move him to OLB and all of a sudden he a 89.

That’s all I really got to contribute.

I like Davenport as a player. I think he can be due for a really good season. But looking at our roster, cap and future, is he a luxury we're going to have a hard time affording?

We have MWill43, Ram, and Lattimore that we may be trying to prioritize first all the while we have to figure out the future QB situation while we have more athletic Davenport clone drafted.

A bag of Cool Ranch Doritos. Not the small bag but the party size.

We might have to make a decision between Cam & Davenport after the season. That's why I'd rather see what Davenport does this year.

I have no idea what Cam Jordan is going to do this year. He could have an All-Pro year or a regression from last year. Neither would surprise me, but I like having more options.

When reading up on Payton Turner, a few writers mentioned that Turner has a plan when he rushes, unlike Davenport who does not have a plan and just tries to win with his athleticism.

It's why his rushing hasn't amounted to much.

i'm no cap expert but trading cam jordan hardly does much for cap next year. Davenport fits the move due to the cap space savings. He's young and is a more desirable asset moving forward for a team.

Actually, I forgot that we picked up Davenport's 5th year option.

To me, he just seems slow at the snap. He always looks delayed compared to the other players and with his athleticism that seems odd.
