‘ELIGIBILITY.—Beginning with the third fiscal year that begins after the date of the enactment of the Workforce Justice Act of 2021, to be eligible for an allocation under this section, a State shall have enacted and be implementing legislation that prohibits private employers from—
‘‘(A) requiring an applicant to disclose whether the applicant has a criminal record;
‘‘(B) inquiring about the criminal record of an applicant prior to a conditional offer of employment; and
‘‘(C) conducting a criminal background check on an applicant prior to a conditional offer of employment.’’

Somehow I doubt this will apply for any federal government jobs/contractors....

So when a convicted kid diddler diddles the bosses kid the boss should be able to murder the diddler and the Dems.
As long as that’s in the law, let’s roll.

Jug Ears floated the idea of outlawing background checks except for the feds themselves.

So an employer can’t do any of this, but he can force you to wear a mask, and in certain cases, get a vaccine?!

Sure, let's allow someone who did 10 years for armed robbery to work at a bank. What could possibly go wrong?

Same party that sponsored the 1994 Crime Bill. These people are bipolar psychopaths.

C'mon man, you denying someone they right to work just because he stole from all his previous employers?

More proof Dems care more about criminals than hardworking law-abiding citizens. They truly are authoritarian scum.

This is actually a good deal.
It doesn’t prohibit background checks. It just doesn’t allow them until after they spend some time getting invested into the candidate. This just stops them from digging into that info up front/early in the process, and consider the candidate as a whole as opposed to getting flagged out by default. Having certain convictions can still be exclusionary under the conditional offer.
Too many people aren’t allowed to move on even after they have paid their debt to society.

I hate social media and don't participate but people on the right who get trolled a lot and get a lot of exposure should post short factual tweets like your subject line, not their thoughts and feelings for the day. I bet a lot of "regular" dems have no idea the evil they are up to.

Louisiana has had this (Ban the Box) for a few years now for state government jobs. You still have to pass a background check before you are actually hired.

Yeah I'd want a bunch of Criminals working for me..
Name a hospital system or school system that is absent all federal grants. We'll wait.
Considering public schools in a lot of states are barred by state, if not federal, law from NOT conducting background checks and barred from hiring previously convicted felons, guess some new form of funding will be coming down the pike.

I'm glad my company doesn't take handouts from the Feds then. Going to be hard for them to strip something we don't get anyway
