When I was working in Yemen and would return home to Dallas, after seeing the wife for the first time in a month, the second thing I wanted was a whataburger.

I dunno man, Kansas is about as far way from "north" in terms of ideals, people, and they actually have common sense.
And I see more freddy's in the southern states than northern states.
But I seriously did think they were a southern franchise this whole time.

In Louisiana Whataburger employees are similar to Popeyes or Burger King employees. The food is still good, though.
I ate at the one in Gonzales recently. The service at this location was really good, it's a well run restaurant for sure.
That said, I honestly don't get why people think it's the greatest. For me it was like eating a sonic burger but with better quality. Good as far as fast food goes but nothing to write home about.

I don't ever go there anymore because they overload the burgers with the toppingsnot just one resturant either. I got japs and onions and went back in to show the manger 1/2 large chopped onion and over 45 japs on my burger, gross.

Yep, very good.
Haven't seen any mention of breakfast, but their Honey Butter Chicken biscuit, Taquito and Sausage, egg and chesse buscuits are all great as well.

My go-to at Whataburger has been the Sweet and Spicy Bacon Burger for a while now. Also, Whataburger's fries are seriously underrated.

Patty melt for me. Add jalapenos and bacon. It's the Texas toast that does it for me. Whenever I get any burger I make the swap to Texas toast.
Honorable mention: Honey BBQ chicken strip sandwich. Obviously not a burger, but definitely a quality sandwich.
