I always defended whataburger over In and Out as a superior burger. I can't do it anymore. Although I will say In and Out burger fries suck arse majorly.

Both are massively superior to Mcdonalds, Wendys or Burger King.

That would imply that they get rid of the sweet and spicy, which they won't.

Whataburger takes way too long to give you your food.

The burgers are pretty good, but not worth the wait.

Milo's is an Alabama thing. Everyone I've taken there from out of state or out of country hasn't enjoyed it. It's an acquired taste I believe.

Their burgers are decent, but Milo's sauce is dookie.

If I'm going Bama burgers, then Jack's is a clear winner. Good damn biscuits, too.

The Whataburgers in Florida are a shite show. I went to one in Destin a few years ago and it had roaches on the floor, food left on every table, and un-flushed shite with piss on the lid in every toilet.

yankee tourists. Its why we can’t have nice things (at least during beach season).

As for me: regular whataburger, no cheese, with mustard and fajita veggies (grilled onions & green peppers).

Didn't it replace it on the menu as a highlighted item? That 4 item square with the patty melt used to have the chopped burger, and that was replaced with the sweet and spicy.

Sweet and spicy sells like hotcakes for em.

I get the Sweet & Spicy sometimes. Or the Avocado & Bacon or Patty Melt.

Also a fan of Freddy’s, usually subbing the cheese curds instead of fries.

Only had In & Out once (month ago). There weren’t any options for types of burgers or toppings and haven’t figured out why it’s often compared to Whataburger.

In N Out is very good if you don't want anything unique. It's a solid burger. Order the animal fries.

It may have, but that doesn't mean they would have to remove the sweet and spicy.

I asked them today if they were ever going to bring it back, not that I expected the guy to have the answer, he just said he hopes so because it was delicious.

I ate at the one in Gonzales recently. The service at this location was really good, it's a well run restaurant for sure.

I made a post saying that earlier. It’s a good one for Louisiana standards.

Did whataburger change gears in the 2000’s to warrant this fanfare? Whataburger in the 90’s was the equivalent of Hardee’s. The Lake Charles location closed 20 years ago. The Winnie TX whataburger I’ve been to back in the day was Wendy’s/Hardee’s equivalent.

What has changed in the last 20 years?

Every other fast food place, for the most part, tastes like dogshit and is usually made by meth heads or stoners.

Whataburger is at least consistently good and they hire decent people, from my local locations.
