Well in between, a rabid bobcat happened so its fairly understandable.

what fricked up logic, have a blue heeler that is a lot smaller than Lolo but can outrun and jump her backwards, had a bobcat come up to my truck(half ton) as I was leaving the marina the other day, I stopped just look at him, he wasn't scared at all, dared me to open the window, his head, while standing on all fours was about four inches below the bottom of the window, body size was about the same as a fifty-five pound Lab/Chow that we have, this is in N.TX

It's crazy they put this in the article to fend off the animal freaks who would probably come after them.

I have seen one male bobcat that was almost as big as a panther. The males can get a lot larger. Most are smaller but there are always a few outliers.

Not me. I’m nowhere near my prime and I would still easily handle a wolf.

I was in a deer blind in the Brookhaven area of Mississippi one time and a bobcat came walking by......it was really cool to see one so close. I guess she/he was probably about 25 or 30 pounds? about 12-15 feet away from me.when I told my paw in law later about it he said I should have shot it. Said it could frick a deer up.

I’ve seen 2 before at different times deer hunting, seen one on the edge of our hay field once, and seen tracks all the time in the bottoms of our land.

I’ve always wanted to shoot and get one mounted. My uncle who hunts behind my parents house in Claiborne parish killed one and had it mounted. They’ve also killed then in union and Lincoln parishes. I’d say it was probably 15-20 pounds but could have been as large as 25 pounds.

Those dogs are trained to attack, trained to kill.

A real kangal doesn't need training. They are orcas on land. A lean 150lb killing machine coated in 4 inches of fur/loose skin for bite protection.

Their bite force is double any of the common dogs on that list. Their top speed is higher than any on that list. They live 2-3 years longer than anything on that list. Genetically, they are damned near perfect.

I ended up with one not knowing what it really was. They are like owning a wolf, only wolves know better than to attack a kangal alone

I lived in Oklahoma and was out hiking with my golden retriever one day. He was off leash and weighed in at around 75lbs. He was off to my left about 5 yards and looking away from me when out of the corner of my eye to my right I saw the biggest damned cat I’d ever seen come walking out on to the trail. It was probably 20 yards from me and even at that distance I could see that it was a bobcat, and it was huge.

I knew that if my dog Charlie saw it, he was going to go for it, and get his arse kicked. Maybe killed. I eased over and grabbed his collar just as he turned and saw it. He barked and tried to take off but I had a good grip and held him back. The bobcat took off to my relief.

I hotfooted it back to my truck, thankful that it hadn’t gone the other way.

Ol Happy was a hero in that video. His wife better treat him like one.

Have a pair of Boxers that I take everywhere and they ran a bobcat down and cornered it at my deer camp. One got messed up pretty bad and needed stitches on his face. I ended up killing it and it was around 23 pounds. This was in Holmes County, MS

Much like a wolf

So a kangal is like a domestic wolf with a stronger bite force with both being stronger than a Malinois.

Yeah, I've yet to see someone beat a police K9 unarmed and a wolf would be worse. I have seen a middle age dude with a dad bod named Happy take on a bobcat and win.

Yeah I'm still going with the bobcat....lol.

I would just say the fight would be different. The Bobcats skills are sharp claws and extremely quick while being relatively powerful. The dog is definitely more powerful and is extremely fast but the cat would be a tough out with his claws, quickness, and agility. If the cat got a quick strike to the face and blinds the dog, the dog would be fricked. It would be much harder for the cat to strike the same blow to a human bc of the extreme height difference.

TLDR. The dog matches up much better with a human than the bobcat. A bobcat would match up much better with the dog than a human.
