In Captain America: The First Avenger, the United States government responds to the threat of a world power genocidally pursuing the genetic ideal of a white, blond, blue-eyed superman by genetically manufacturing their very own white, blond, blue-eyed superman
Are you finally realizing that these people hate you and want to destroy everything you've ever loved yet?

The show fricking sucked anyway.

Wonder what they will do when they run out of things to scrutinize, cancel, and apologize for?
Will racism finally be eradicated?

Uh, the character is literally named Captain America, and the current story is about how much it means to be that symbol. Should be clear that they do not hate America. The stories speak out against the people in charge, the ones profiting from war, conducting secret unethical programs, the "deep state", etc. Seems like the kind of thing that would appeal to this board, but you're too busy looking for shite to get offended over.
But Marvel has heroes fighting racial injustice and stereotypes dating back the the 60's and 70's. So yeah, I don't see the huge issue with the series that are largely following cannon that was introduced decades ago.

Isaiah Bradley's story, which is the most "woke" part of this show imo, was introduced in the 2000s, so while technically still "decades ago," that's really not a long time ago for comic books.

Bruh...if you actually watch the show you’ll see Sam Wilson actually shuttering the racist vibes.

Wandavision is WAY better than this show, but what are people expecting from Marvel? Marvel has been openly WOKE before being WOKE was even a thing. People like the fantasy, science fiction, the hero's, the villain's, the shadow governments, fighting the man, etc. etc. Nobody who cares is getting hung up on the wokeness, and 90% of the wokeness was in alternate timelines and smaller books, not in the main stories anyway. The Xmen team change was intentionally WOKE and became the most popular storyline for them EVER.

Sam did acknowledge that the old guy was done wrong but ultimately decided that times are different now and that being captain America was important to him.
Also in the episode you have a black family telling their sons white best friend how much of an honor it was to have served with him.
Yes they discussed race but I didn’t feel the white guilt shite.

That's because you're not looking for it in every instance.

The comics have addressed sociopolitical issues since the beginning.

"Woke" is just the newest term some folks like to use to express their disdain for discussing such things.

I was hoping they would just go on and on about captain America really didn't go back to Peggy, he ran off with the boy from his gay dating group from end game. It seemed the appropriate end arc for woke cap.

I don't get why people are so upset. They address racism in America, a little.
*****SPOILERS BELOW********
I mean, they have to if we are talking about the potential for a Black Cap. Not really woke, as much as inevitable. Especially with addressing a black Super Soldier that lived through the 40's, 50's, and 60's.
At the end of the last episode you see Sam taking the shield, anyway. It shows he may have issues with his identity, but his love for America is bigger than that. It was truly moving, in my opinion.
That is a message I wish the "woke mobs" could get behind.

If you watched the episode, it actually made a ton of sense in context. The black super soldier who was railing against the U.S. was then countered by Falcon who refused to be embittered like the other guy. It was a very good nuanced take on our police state vs NOT lumping people together based on skin color. Falcon told him “the white man who wore that shield wasn’t the one who put you behind bars”.

When he starts practicing with the shield. . .I got goosebumps
Sam is the only person introduced in the MCU with a moral compass and temperament akin to Steve. He should be Captain America.
