If you can't see that comic books were always ushering in new eras of Woke, anti-White crap, I don't know what to tell you.

The comics have addressed sociopolitical issues since the beginning. "Woke" is just the newest term some folks like to use to express their disdain for discussing such things.

I was going to say "subverted the culture with degenerate Marxist and liberal anti-Western themes" ...but ok.

I use to read and collect them. The difference you failed to understand is back then they disparaged racism, not push anti white extremism we see today. They didn't hate their country and was a time DC's very own Superman use to always support "truth, justice and the American way." That ended with Superman denouncing his American identity and calling himself a citizen of the world.

Huge difference than this Woke nonsense.

Racism was a term developed and implemented by Bolshevik Commie Leon Trotsky as a means of deconstructing the Western people. It was propagated by his ideological peers, particularly in the social sciences like Anthropology.

The term "Racism" started as, and has always been anti-Western, and really hit its zenith when conservatives started taking that term seriously and giving it broad power. The same has happened with concepts like "feminism" and "transgenderism".

We don't use the words or the false morality of evil, destructive people.

Marvel isn't pushing anti-white extremism. If that's your perception, that's your issue.

Uh, the character is literally named Captain America, and the current story is about how much it means to be that symbol. Should be clear that they do not hate America. The stories speak out against the people in charge, the ones profiting from war, conducting secret unethical programs, the "deep state", etc. Seems like the kind of thing that would appeal to this board, but you're too busy looking for shite to get offended over.

Has the person who wrote this article watched the show? New Cap isn't picked because he's white and blond. He's picked because he's an awesome soldier and kind of an idiot who will do what he's told unlike Steve Rogers.

I tried watching until they did the racism thing, then checked out completely. Series looks amateurish, anyway.

Lol like a certain female black character playing Iron Man. Maybe change sexual orientation or race of established characters. Get real.

Wrong. I'm just not the one trying to rationalize left wing extremism as patriotism and anti racism. Huge difference between supporting the view of equality and fairness versus condemning one race as inherently evil.

TONS of Marvel (and other comics) heroes/personas have had many different characters take on those roles going back decades and decades. Captain America for example wasn't always Steve Rogers, many different people have been Captain America over the years. Same goes for a lot of other characters. Why does it make you uncomfortable when someone of a different race plays the part?

My god, how does one come away with this take? I mean have you even seen the slate of actors in these movies and shows? The original Avengers are 5 white dudes and a white woman. Very much NOT inherently evil. Later on it's 7 white dudes, 2 white women, and 3 black dudes, none of which are inherently evil. White dudes Steve Rogers and Tony Stark ended up being the saviors of half of mankind.

Perception. You folks are being manipulated.

So they hate what America stands for, but they want to be the face of it?

I wouldn’t have a problem if they addressed it in a way that felt natural, but episode 5 felt forced... much more so than the episodes before it.

And I had my questions early on, but it’s become clear that the displaced people represent illegal aliens.

Falcon and Woke Soldier.
