Im gonna be pulling the trigger on a new set soon and I kind of want to try a set of blades.

These bad boys in particular

I demoed these at Watts and they really weren't that hard to hit.

When nutted they felt incredible.

Stupid move considering the tech in modern clubs?

I used to play blades, the best feeling you can have is flushing one. I no longer play them due to how easy it is to hit my Srizon 785's feeling still isn't the same but it's close.

I have some MP4s that I bought used and pull out every now and then just to remind me how good some of these ball strikers are.

I do because I’m stupid. They are above my skill level but sure are pretty. There is no better feeling than hitting a blade perfect but it just doesn’t happen often enough

I played my dads old Wilson x-31s in high school to improve my ball striking, then loved them so I kept them. Once my number of rounds decreased I switched to forged for a while and now play a hybrid set. 3-7 are forged Wilson FG tour V6 and 8-w are FG tour 100 blades. Love them all but glad I don’t try to hit a 4 iron blade anymore.

Beautiful clubs.

I’d recommend hitting them off grass before buying. Those mats let you get away with things that grass will not.

Not necessarily. However, I did read an article not too long ago claiming that less than 25% of tour pros are using blades.

I wish I didn't. My dad bought some KZGs a while back and I could hit them flush pretty consistently when I played a bunch, so he gave them to me. Years later I don't play as much and wish I had some cavity backs.

As someone else said though, hitting it flush feels oh so good.

This all day. Hate the mats. Give me a false confidence. You can hit behind the ball on a mat and not hit it fat since the club doesn't dig and only glides on the mat until it hits the ball.

I do. I never thought i would and probably would be better off with more of a t100 or something but, the mp20s weren’t that hard to hit snd I’ll probably switch at some point before i hit 40. I’ve always been one to say that amateurs shouldn’t play blades. I still feel that way for the most part considering most tour players are hitting players cavity

I have an older set of Nike pro combo blades I practice with but I’m too much of a bitch to use them during a round.

All I play and the pinnacle of them all. Very easy to play and consistent yardages throughout the bag.

Those Staff irons are beautiful and you won’t regret getting them.

I have been playing these since 1970. I have a couple sets of them, and I have replaced the shafts since I aged. I now have some graphite shafts in my Button Backs.

I would love to have some sexy MB blades in the bag, but there's no way I can give up the performance and forgiveness.

Maybe a combo set with 4-6 in player performance irons and 7-p in the blades since that is probably the strongest part of my game, but even that seems unnecessary for me at this point.

Player performance is where most people should live. The creation of that middle line at least gave people more clean looking options relative to pure game improvement cavity backs without giving up much performance.
