To defend myself or my family, absolutely. To defend my possessions, if I could escape unharmed, absolutely not. I will not kill a person for a house/car/wallet. If they threaten my life in any way while trying to take those, then they will die. Most situations, there is no difference. But there are some.

Yes, if your in my house uninvited I have a contract that says I will protect my wife, I can’t do that if I’m dead. I will ask whose there, maybe. I’m not as good a shot as I used to be, I can’t put 3 rounds between your eyes anymore, but I can put 1 where your heart is and 2 where it used to be.

Hell yes, though I don't know what rabbit or squirrel hunting has to do with it. If my family is threatened by small woodland creatures, I've bigger questions to ask.

If someone is breaking into my house if possible we will be armed going out a door or window on the opposite side of the house. I am not going to kill someone over “stuff”, if we can’t get out, or they pursue us that’s a different situation.
