Texas Senate Republicans cleared the way Thursday for new voting restrictions that would:
—Limit extended early voting hours
—Ban drive-thru voting
—Make it illegal for local election officials to proactively send applications to vote by mail to voters

As evil as it is, it’s kinda brilliant.
Use fear of being labeled racist and push victim-mentality to gain power.
Position things to where if you oppose them in any manner, you RACIST.

This tactic only has power because people allow it. If republicans just said "FO" every time a democrat cries racism, it would lose power quickly.

Yet, the vast majority of those in Washington are sitting on their hands deafening us all with their silence to all this insanity.

Don’t agree with reducing early voting hours.
Drive thru if you are registered with a disability that makes sense as an option. If it is allowed then you should have to be alone in the car, which would be difficult to enforce so I can see not allowing it as a general option.
Mail in on a mass scale I don’t like until some iron clad procedures are performed to verify identity, which is nearly impossible. I’m not trusting some machine that can be manipulated to verify signatures and I don’t see enough accountability in the chain of custody. If Dems want mass mail in they need to overwhelmingly convince me they have figured those things out. It’s more feasible when specifically requested in advance by an individual who verified their identity and preference.

The dems and DS don't care about laws. Their stance is we will take what we want what are you going to do? The dems and DS own the media and court systems and must control one hell of a black book with condemning documentation on many.

So are all the changes the republicans are trying to make essentially just doing away with the COVID crap that was added in 2020 by the dems? Essentially going back to how voting has always been handled?

The interim appointed Harris County Clerk for the last election, who coincidentally is the State Democratic Party vice chair for finance, is who started this mess. The early voting numbers coming out of Harris County were massive in the last election cycle.

That right there is the killer.
That is the death bolt from the sky.
That make ballot harvesting much more difficult.

Not really. There have been studies that show no significant differences in vote by mail by party prior to 2020. It’s been going on for years.
Just in 2020 Trump filled his base with lies about the integrity of mail voting, which in turn played a big part in his losing... and the senate seats flipping in GA.
That is reality. And the sooner the GOP in these states focus on real issues and not conspiracies the better for the party. They are only energizing voter registration by dems and making it a huge issue that will backfire.

Mail in on any scale is bullshite.

This is a far more effective strategy than trying be "less racist" than Democrats.
The reason conservatives haven't learned this is because they are led by liberals and grifters. Anyone suggesting that "racism" and "homophobia" are fake and gay terms intended to disenfranchise our people will be attacked by PragerU and Ben Shapiro, who remain platformed specifically because they keep Conservatives on the very impotent liberal democracy track.

This right here is my issue.
I don't believe Trump lost because Dominion voting machines changed a bunch of votes. No, I believe there were legitimately enough ballots with Biden's name checked off.
However, this mass wide-spread ability for the laziest well-bodied individuals being able to now cast their vote was made possible through these large scale mailouts. Lazy SOBs didn't even have to expand the energy to request a mail-in ballot, nor did they have to drop it off at the usual designated boxes because THAT was suddenly declared as too much of a hardship.
And while I suppose I have no proof, I've got an assumption as to which Presidential ticket was checked off on 8 out of 10 of those ballots.
If you're able-bodied but too damn lazy to get yourself to a polling place, why should you be rewarded with a say in elections?

This is correct.
The new GA voting laws were put into place to make it much more difficult for people like Stacey Abrams to go door to door trading buckets of Popeyes for an empty ballot and a signature.

I also agree with this.
Also, from the OP:
quote:
drive thru voting
What the frick is this? Drive thru voting is horseshite and should never be allowed. Voting is significantly more important than buying a Big Mac.

I think they printed up a few metric tons of fake ballots and ran them through in the middle of the night in key districts that would tip the election.
Evidence?
Pristine, unfolded, "mail-in" ballots
Truck driver trucking ballots across state lines
Adjudicated ballot percentages pretty high
Kicking out observers
Fighting tooth and nail to prevent any investigation or audit in multiple jurisdictions...
Glad Texas is stepping up. We don't use Dominion, and carpetbagging, locust Democrats are moving here by the thousands anyway.

Fleeing California where their voting patters brought them to the point of fewer jobs and living expenses higher than they can tolerate.
Then they'll move down here and likely keep voting the same way.
