Looks like this will be my favorite of the MCU D+ offerings. It would appear they’ve sunk the most $$ into this show. The production value is high. The sets high quality. The costuming good. The story is intriguing. Owen Wilson is Owen but not zany Owen. Yet anyway. And Hiddleston is world class in the role.
Interesting, going with a Loki variant as the bad? Mhmm.

Not necessarily, if it was part of the "sacred timeline" then it was meant to happen.
Who gets to choose what the sacred the timeline is? The Time Keepers? They have the sole authority to determine it? Did they write time themselves from the beginning of their existence? Does that make them the ultimate Gods of the universe?
I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, it just opens so many questions that can put your brain in a knot thinking about it all.
Kind of like Loki said, are they the ultimate power in the universe at the end of the day?

Huddleston is an executive producer. May have put some of his own money behind it

I'm pretty certain he kept one of the time stones he was holding. I'm also wondering if the Loki that Thanos killed was one of Loki's illusions since he knew his fate. The subject of a life like machine that didn't know it was a machine could be what Thanos killed.
After WandaVision I’m not going down that road again, LOL. I’m just here for the ride.

Yea this series looks to be very important to the upcoming movies.
"Another multiversal war". Idk how exactly, and rather it will be either Wanda, Loki, or even Strange's fault, but this will likely be a major factor going forward far beyond DS2 imo.
I'm kind of intrigued on what exactly has the TVA fearful, when even infinity stones are nothing more than rocks in their universe.
Did anyone notice they alluded to the annoying captcha thing, or was that just me. "Can you confirm that you are not a robot"

... maybe that device is there for a purpose?
Maybe there HAS been a Loki robot come through already- the one running rampant- and that's the reason for the heightened security? Not just an anti-robot device, but an anti-robot-Loki device?
And the plan is, use the real Loki to outfox the robot one?
If that's the case, who made robot Loki, and for what overall purpose? Obviously to break the sacred timeline... but to what end?
Total chaos sounds like a Loki (the God of Mischief, not the villain) thing. But perhaps someone wants a different timeline, not chaos. Who could dream so big as to hijack the Timeline, and reset reality? Again, Loki fits, this Loki might want to rewrite things to where he's the hero he longs to be, instead of the plot device he's become.
But all that would only come about due to him arriving there now, he wouldn't have already have done this, unless he gets away and starts hitting things beforehand dabbling in time.
Could it be Ultron, returning somehow with a Loki appearance? There's your robot.

Same thoughts here. I was thinking, who are these 3 shot callers, apparently Thanos just thought he had power.
Their existence and the TVAs existence opens an endless series of questions.

Damn. That was incredibly intriguing pilot. I’m fully invested.
Also glad that Pillboi was able to get a job with the TVA

This is dumb.
We all know that device is used to prevent an outbreak of robot zombies.

Edit + Spoilers: I’m hesitant to think they’d introduce a big bad in a D+ series instead of a feature film...but with all the time variance shenanigans I don’t see how Kang The Conqueror doesn’t show up at some point
Don’t know if they actually show up here but is looks like both Kang and Mephisto were hinted at in this episode.

I’d be surprised unless maybe an after credits cameo. Same with Nightmare too

Wasn't Kang already announced for Ant Man 3?

Loki seemed genuinely shocked Thanos was able to kill him

I think he was more shocked that that was how he went out.
Any chance this current Loki is still following his timeline at the TVA and he veers off killing the different groups of TVA soldiers. There could possibly multiple Loki's (more than two) out there. So when Owen approached the judge and she said something like you shouldn't be doing this because they've already tried this before but think this outcome will be different. Or does the timeline simply not apply in the TVA?

I'll say that intro episode was better than any episode of Falcon and Winter Soldier.

I'm gonna go with main Loki stealing the Tesseract bumped the sacred timeline for another Loki variant (Lady Loki) to sneak out and start causing chaos
The robot thing was just a fun easter egg that points out people checking the captcha without giving a second thought (someone else pointed it out). The Creator, Michael Waldron, worked on Rick & Morty so I def see it as a one-off joke

Man that was a great first episode
Loved the realization that Owen Wilson is trying to understand Loki to catch loki.
It's like mindhunters but with time travel

Marvel already came out and said that Mephisto is NOT in the show.
Y'all are forgetting that Loki's armor includes horns.

Here is my question: In the sacred timeline, the avengers always go back in time to get the stones. This means they always lose 2012 Loki and the tesseract.
I know the TVA set a time reset charge to stamp out this branch, but this branch HAS to happen for Stark and Capt to go to the 70's and see his father/Peggy?
