i agree with Hiddleston, but Wilson is good but there isnt much range. i mean he was basically John Beckwith but a time keeper.

I do think Anthoney Mackey can be a very good actor, but with this character, they have let him take it a little far with how confident he is. He literally has no super power yet he is standing toe to toe with super villains? My arse.

Same with Sebastian Stan. They nerfed the WS so much Stan lost that awesomeness he brought in The Winter Soldier and Civil War.

Agreed that WS was nerfed. Also I don't understand supersoldiers at all. Rogers was shot with bullets, energy weapons, all kinds of stuff and is basically fine every time.

Chick supersoldier gets shot and dies pretty much instantly. Zero consistency.

I'm kind of intrigued on what exactly has the TVA fearful, when even infinity stones are nothing more than rocks in their universe.

maybe they are fearful of machines. are there any non organic super villains? Im not well versed in comics. (besides Ultron.)

This is pretty wild. Definitely looks like her

During Loki’s botched escape at TVA HQ, a woman can be seen being hauled in by the Minutemen in the background. One leading candidate for the seemingly minor background character is Hayley Atwell’s Peggy Carter. Take a look for yourself.

Edit + Spoilers: I’m hesitant to think they’d introduce a big bad in a D+ series instead of a feature film...but with all the time variance shenanigans I don’t see how Kang The Conqueror doesn’t show up at some point

The whole one version of Loki vs. anther version definitely has a Kang vs. Immortus vibe. Throw in the Timekeepers and Avengers Forever comes to mind.

My own theory with that is that the original supersoldier serum is lost when Erskins dies so the remakes aren't as potent or have the same effects?

Yeah they had to synthesize a new serum from Cap's blood. No way it's as potent as the original.

After watching this episode trying to take everything in I had to look at Loki's brief appearance as I remembered this quote he made to Thor as he was giving the Tesseract to Thanos:

quote:
Loki : I assure you, brother, the sun will shine on us again.

He said that with so much certainty that I'm wondering if some method of not dying at Thanos hands will be part of the finale now that Loki saw his death....

This is a great catch.

That line always stuck out to me at the beginning of IW because Hiddleston is alway so perfect in his delivery.

He said it so certainly that I kept waiting through IW and Endgame for him to pop up again somehow.

So yes I think very clearly Loki used what he will learn in this series to somehow avoid what he saw happen at the TVA

That is going to be a very fun ride

The DB Cooper storyline was actually the one that I didn't like. I think they could have played it better by just saying Loki did mischievous stuff on Earth just for the hell of it. Not by losing a bet with Thor. That just isn't logical that that would have been the result of a bet between those two.

Making Loki comical takes away from his threat factor.

+1 That was great. Hiddleston is simply fantastic as Loki. As others have mentioned, the DB Cooper part was the only thing I didn't care for. The rest was a lot of fun.

I’m not up to speed on the time keeper lore, but damn I got strong vibes they were the living tribunal. Three faces for each. With that said, this is going to be a marvelous series.

Owen Wilson and Hiddlestone were both amazing in episode 1. Loki is a fascinating character

Indeed. I agree with the poster(s) who believe he's clever enough to use what he learned at TVA, seeing his death by Thanos' hand (literally) to undo that event, and return to the MCU.

So everyone just assumes this is Loki?
Not a mention of it possibly being Dr. Doom?
Dr. Doom's mother was a powerful sorcerer that was damned to hell by Mephisto.
When i saw this hooded figure my first thought was Dr. Doom. WHen have you ever seen Loki wearing a hood?
