Mail posted is not consistent with views on the rant. Admits we have recruited well, but has marathon letters defending the baseball team’s mediocrity.

Maineri prob gives him access to the baseball team. He doesn’t want that to go away.

Consistent with his whole website and positive always and I personally like it. The negative energy here can get toxic and CPM will go when the time is right and the AD and CPM decide.
At this particular program the transition needs to be smooth, we are not that far off the mark and no need to go wholesale makeover

That's why every time another national socio-economic list is released, Louisiana is at or near the bottom; usually 45-50.
A consistent Louisiana "Bottom 5" ranking is primarily due to the high % of MAMM's in the population and it absolutely filters down to LSU Athletics. :

Because most of the views on the rant are cancerous views posted by unhappy people who are anti-social. Do you think a responsible journalist should post that the coach is a POS? Of course not.
The letters he posted were all by people who thought Mainieri should be replaced. Scott Long’s opinion seems to be the same - that if things continue like this he should be let go with honors. Those who think otherwise are just brats who are unhappy and WANT SOMEBODY TO PAY!!!!

His site is a joke now. He’s got the biggest purple and gold glasses on and doesn’t give objective reporting.
I called him out this year because he’s picked LSU to win every game in his sites history and when they started losing he quit picking games because he was too scared to pick LSU to lose.

I have to admit the journalism by rant posters is a much higher quality. (sarcasm).
Scott didn't defend CPM, he admitted it was getting stale and if things didn't improve this should be his last season. All he said was that CPM deserved some respect for what he has done for LSU baseball. That is called having a little class and respect. The fact that the rant criticizes someone having class and respect says more about the rant than Dandydon.

I didn't see it as defending CPM at all. the "mail" was consistently about the need for change and contained some substance. Not just "he sucks, fire him"-the rant

You must be one that thinks Twitter is a good barometer of how the country views things. Do not make the mistake thinking the rant views are the views of the entire fanbase. It is just a small extremely vocal portion of the fanbase.

But for real though i have noticed that in the couple years ive been on this blog. There are a LOT of people here that accept mediocrity in their program they root for (football, baseball etc). Its bizarre.
