“CDC study finds Pfizer/Moderna vaccines decreased infection (not just symptoms) by 90%. = greatly stops transmission.

*Also* just one dose provided effectiveness of 80%”

It's so sad that this sort of news isn't being shouted from the mountaintops.

There will be no reason to not fully open up very soon. Vaccines in Louisiana are open to everyone.

Yes, everyone gets to make their own choice either way.

I'm healthy and in my 30s. I already had covid at some point and didn't even know I had it. I'm pretty low risk but I got the vaccine so I wouldn't have to miss work if I get exposed again or spread the ronies around to my family. no regerts.

Good. Now we can start to consider allowing limited capacity at larger events and let restaurants go to 50 or maybe 75%.

We still need to social distance and wear a mask

the more time that passes and the more data we get on the vaccines, the less talking points the anti vaxxers have

at some point, they will just have to fully embrace being an anti vaxxer

TLDR: We have made it explicit that the vaccine is not going to make a difference to most Americans, so they won't come and now we had to re-write our messaging.

Want to believe this, but it seems way too soon to be able to come up with these results.
