Why Harsh Side Effects After 2nd Dose of COVID Vaccine and Not the 1st?

I heard very little if any side effects other then just some mild soreness after the first shot. Seems like the 2nd shot is the doozy for many.
Any reasons why? Does it mean that the 2nd dose was more than the body needed? Could someone get a test of some sort to see if the 2nd shot is even necessary for their specific situation?

I'm interested to see what the 2nd dose does to me on April 7 as I already recovered from covid in late June/early July last year. The first shot did absolutely nothing, basically no soreness (unless I lifted my arm above a natural position and even then minimal) and even the bandaid had hardly any blood on it. Not to mention I barely felt the needle.

The first is just to implant the tracker, the second is the dna mutation.

It may be that the second shot provokes a stronger response from your immune system. That could mean that it is working.

Its the immune system ramping up and fighting off what it perceives to be the actual virus, therefore developing the antibodies needed to fight off the real virus.

The answer to this might be simple and obvious to someone with the right knowledge, but for a regular person I think this is a good, interesting question.

I am not an anti-vaxxer but the fact that it makes you sick makes me not really want to get it. Might make me stupid or selfish but I've never gotten the flu shot or the flu, and I don't really want to take a vaccine that is going to make me ill for a few days.

I was just a little sore after the first shot, just like a normal vaccination.
After the second one I felt great the next day, then just compeltely exhausted two days after. No fever or chills or aches, just worn out. Day 3 I was perfectly fine again.

The first one just gave me a sore arm but I got the 2nd dose on Monday and only started feeling better yesterday. 100 degree fever, headache, chills, diarrhea, and even a touch of a sore throat.
Either I’m a massive vagina or that 2nd dose isn’t fricking around.

The autism is in the second shot.

Took the 2nd one last week. No issues at all for me.

You are not supposed to ask questions, Baw. Just do whatever Dr. Fauci says, no matter how many pics of him doing the opposite surface, and lies he is proven to have told.

I was sick for three days after the first shot and could barely lift my arm up.

Because your body has “seen” it before and mounts a stronger response.
Your body’s immune response is a big part of why you feel like crap when you’re actually sick.
“Seeing” the pathogen a second time is necessary for your body to “remember” the pathogen longer.
You’re correct that one shot gives decent immunity but we aren’t really sure how long that’ll last.

I think it has to do with the nature of mRNA. Something about it degrades too quickly to cause much of a reaction the first go 'round. It lasts long enough to "prime the pump" and cause your body to start building antibodies, but by the time your body can fight it there's nothing left to fight. When it comes around the second time your body responds right away which makes you feel bad for a bit.

I took the first shot Tuesday. Maderna. Felt just as bad as when I had Covid in October. Arm hurt like hell like they gave me the shot in the bone, fever, tired, short of breath, and terrible lower back pain. I don’t take flu vac and the only reason I decided to take this vac was because of the trouble I had with having COVID
