Why is the NFL podcasting world refusing to talk about Watson allegations?

Was surprised there were no “emergency” pods over the weekend when news broke, but figured they’d all address it today on their big Monday podcasts.
Instead.... crickets. Are we at a point in America where white liberal podcast hosts (PFF guys, the Ringer guys,, PMT, Simmons, etc) will simply refuse to discuss a legit bombshell news story if it goes against the “narrative”?
The only person with any national recognition who’s covering the allegations in a discussion like setting is Clay Travis. Surprised even Ryen R is dodging the biggest NFL story in 3 years

2 possibilities
1. Don't want to bring a bruther down. hell, twitter tweeters aren't saying anything about him, especially the #metoo crowd, and they are going full force on white actors, singers, politicians, etc.
2. They feel lawyer is so sleezy, that if they buy into it immediately, and it turns out fake, they could get crushed by cancel culture, and for some, their whole livelihood is based on these shows. Cancel culture never forgets those who went along with allegations.

That's exactly what it is. Tom Brady potentially saying a mean word to Honey Badger got more coverage from these types than Watson allegedly sexually assaulting multiple women. A league that pushes the SJW narrative, where blacks are permanent victims of white supremacy, cannot foster a separate narrative that paints black men as predators.

It's boring as shite to talk about? I'd one hundred percent skip out on any podcast on it. It's allegations with no criminal charges, there isn't a whole lot to really discuss or value that any of those sports guys can add. We'll see what happens.

if this were a white qb like big ben or someone they'd be all over it

Probably the same reason that Mike Florio was about the only person to cover the Vick dog fighting stuff.
No one wants to piss off the NFL by running with this if it turns out to be nothing.

It's how the media should always behave before a case is tried before, you know, the facts are all laid out in a court of law

Try GM shuffle. You listening to wrong podcasts

I'm not sure about podcasts, but this story is all over the national media.
I think you have a false premise here.

You really are the fricking worst. You’re the Justin Bieber of Britain. We can’t give your stupid arse back because they don’t want you either.

I feel like this would definitely be front page news if it was Josh Allen or Tom Brady.
I think the lawyer’s reputation is what is holding this back a bit from making it more widespread.
The NFL is in the business of protecting its brand, not just blacks. It just so happen that racial issues are at the forefront. When domestic abuse was the top issue, nobody hesitated to trash Ray Rice or Adrian Peterson, the latter of which was a joke IMO.
The Deshaun case is interesting because the woke sports media loves the push for women’s equality and loves the push for anything achieved by a POC. My popcorn is ready.

frick the NFL. Why even waste your time or energy on that garbage or any pro sport?
Posted on 3/24/21 at 6:35 am to SirWinston
I would think it obvious. Drew Brees was crucified by the Twitter mobs for much, much less egregious conduct.
Posted on 3/24/21 at 12:39 pm to SirWinston
It was covered on the NFL's flagship podcast (Around the NFL) on Monday and the Athletic's main football podcast.
But why let facts get in the way of a good story?
