$7000 was deposited in my account today.....

Our 2020 filings will preclude us, but we were $1200 under the threshold in 2019. 
Obviously, I will wait a few weeks to file.

Using my 2019 taxes return. Have 2020 ready in turbo tax ready to file but waited to see what congress did first.
Will file tomorrow
And the decision to have my wife not return to work after my now 3 year old was born paid off and we were under married income threshold it’s just my income

Not the point. Decision was based on wife raising my son vs daycare. But only reason we qualify is one income bs two.

Same I was under threshold for 2018 and 2019 but I made like 40k more last year pushing me over. We got it still today

Same situation. Although my 2019 was like $10k under since my wife had maternity leave. I ain’t filing until that $ hits the account.

I know someone who qualified for the 1400 and got a letter saying they would be getting 600. Are people going to get shorted?

Same. I made about 50K more in 2020 than in 2019, so I’ve been waiting until I get this new stimulus check to file my taxes.

Isn’t the point of a stimulus bill to stimulate the economy through consumer spending? The idea is to buy products or services to encourage economic growth.
