luv how PP7 still talks about it. He’s posted about it during bama hate week on his Twitter too??

I know it is said here about a lot of former players but I have zero doubt that PP7 post on here.

He was probably inbounds. It was not clear. Still shots that are available now appear to be close but clearly inbounds. The refs did not have those. From the real time replay it was hard to tell.

those still shots were taken from the live action cameras on the field the officials did have access to when they reviewed the play

They even talked about on Fox NFL Sunday the next morning. That was an int in the nfl, let alone college.

LSU would’ve had the ball at their 40 down 21-15 if PP7’s INT stood. Very winnable. Excuse me while I go throw up.

*theoretically* very winnable.

In reality, we needed Jordan Jefferson to lead us on a GW TD drive on the road against a really good Bama defense. So uh, forgive me if I have some doubts.

It still sucked to not even get a chance when we should have. And in real time I was pissed. But to me, 2012 and 2014 were the worst ones. It probably also had something to do with the psychological effects of the natty game, but those two games were so winnable and should have been won, but we choked them away. Gut wrenching losses to me, whereas the PP7 game was one I feel like we should have had a chance at the end but in no way did I feel the win was in our grasp only to slip away.

The fact that we are all sitting here still talking about this 12 years later is what makes SEC Football and fandom so great.

Jordan Jefferson was hurt and out of the game for the entire 4th Quarter. We also lost Charles Scott in the 3rd. Without Scott and Jefferson, I don't think we had a first down in the 4th Quarter. Lee was only 4/10. I agree, theoretically it was winnable. Without JJ and Scott, it would have taken a fluke play. We couldn't move the chains without those two.

C'mon, everyone knows you have to have 3 feet inbounds when playing at Bama.

the best part of the interview was when Nick said that he wanted to come back to LSU afrer leaving Miami

I understand at the time why he didn't, Saban left LSU high and dry after he said he had no intention. But too bad that gamble of not hiring him back backfired immensely. What coulda been will always be the story for LSU

Where did you hear this?

You mean to tell me that TV viewers had better access to the live game for that review than the referees on the field?

Nope, I was literally standing on the sideline where Pat made the catch. It was so clear live in the moment. We literally had time to watch him secure then look down and see both feet inbounds. We were all pointing at the cleat divots he made in the grass, that literally never touched a blade of white painted grass.

In response, Alabama gets ESPN to have the narrative changed from gutsy Miles going for it five times on fourth down to quirky, goofy les only won with Sabans players...two birds with one stone.

Holy conspiracy theory.

Les Miles IS a goofy, quirky, grass eating, tail chasing SOB. That wasn't some narrative that was invented out of thin air.

That was a 2 foot NFL pick and they couldn't get it right even on a review?

Penrod, I thought you’d be all out of horrible takes by now, but simping for the refs on PP7’s INT that wasn’t is a new low

He left a divot inbounds ffs

Calling that play out of bounds was the best thing that could have happened for LSU. Had they awarded the interception we would not have picked up a single first down. Their defense was slaughtering us.

No, it absolutely was not. It was clear as day, live, on the broadcast.
