Walmart straight Talk service

I’ve had this now for about a week
I went the cheap as I could route because a) my Verizon contract is almost up and no fricking way am I renewing with their shitty service, shitty in store service and very expensive plans
I swear I dreaded anytime I ever had to visit a Verizon store. No matter how dead the place was inside with customers, it would always be a minimum I’m one+ hour visit.
I broke my phone several days. Accidentally left it ok the hood of my 2021 Tahoe SUV
Went to Walmart.. here is the scoop so far with the service
Unlimited everything up until 40gig data is used up (which will never happen for me) then it goes to LTE
Have not had one single dropped call
My data speed in 65mbps (according to google test speed)
iPhone SE (same style as my broken iPhone 8 but has the same microchip as iPhone 11
It’s fast as hell with 64g hard drive
New iPhone SE (2020 series) - $149.00 + tax
Unlimited Data - $45.00/month
All State insurance - $45.00 even
All for $250ish out the door
Took me 10 minutes to purchase at the Walmart
A fricking PLUS rating from me
I hate Walmart but I am very impressed with their cell phone service
——
Verizon almost 2 years ago
$900 for iPhone 8 in monthly payments
$75.00/month for 5gig data
Shitty customer service
- glad I cut that shite off. frick Verizon. Waste of money

I have a huge difference in sound call quality since changing. I’m not a very Tec person with phones but I don’t know if it is because I am no longer using Verizon towers or the new phone. The phone is much faster than my iPhone 8 and the speakers are a lot more pound with more bass

To get the $149 iPhone you do have to go into the store to purchase the phone and activate the plan.. if you do it online the phone is $249
I’ll bookmark this post and circle back in a few weeks to let ya know how it’s still working
A lot of people make fun of Walmart straight talk but I’m very impressed with it so far
It’s a hell of a lot cheaper.. it’s almost too good to be true actually

I know there are a bunch of 30,000$ millionaires on the OT so I figured this review would help them so they can get rid of their little Android fisher price phone

You don't have to have a contract with Verizon. I'm notnunder any contract. Buy a used phone and just sign up to pay monthly for data and whatnot. I have unlimited data for $82ish/mo, tax included. I think I get rollover minutes, too.
Straight talk sounds like a good deal, though.

Straight talk operates on the Verizon network...so it’s interesting Verizon was shitty and straight talk is good.

I've had it a couple of years. My only complaint is the coverage has some dead zones. There are places where I can be standing right next to someone with AT&T. They have a signal, I don't, even though Straight Talk is allegedly using the same tower.

Nope it pulls from all of them
I had no problem with Verizon’s cell coverage.. a drop call here and there.. it was all the other bullshite with that company

You can get $55/mo with ATT unlimited talk text and data plan. Its prepaid and bring your own phone. I don’t know why I ever paid for those contract plans for so many years. All for just paying your bill at the beginning of the month instead of at the end. Doesn’t include tethering, that’s $10 extra per month if you need it.
