I'm not dumb enough to insure a $150 phone. That's why I buy them.

If you think Verizon customer service is bad, just wait until you have a problem with Straight Talk and have to call them for something. My in-laws had Straight Talk for a while and went back to Verizon because customer support for Straight Talk is so bad. 45 minutes on hold just to talk to someone, and when you finally do it's a call center in India and you get someone with terrible English and an awful connection.

When I tried to switch my samsung galaxy(bought through straight talk) to cricket I found out that it would only work on straight talk... even though it was my phone and unlocked.

Excellent point and my only real complaint with Straight Talk. I made the mistake of buying my phones from them. Then I joined a company that pays for my phone. I wanted to give my phone to my parents but Straight Talk refused to unlock it. They require a 2 year wait after purchase, even though you buy the phone with no discount. That's horseshite.

In 7 years I've never had any problem with customer support but only needed them twice. I've never dropped a call and my data is faster than my friends iphone. I have better coverage than his iphone because ST uses At&t and Verizon towers. I pay $55 a month for unlimited everything which is cheaper then his tmobile bill with less data then me.

LG makes the finest phone that no one buys. And has for 8 years or so now.

Mine has a 128gb storage with 1tb additional in it.

Screen and camera are top notch as well.

Ps... I keep a supcsse on it until I want a new phone. Tske the case off and inside of a month I'll destroy it. New phone is 100 bucks.

Straight talk operates on the Verizon network...so it’s interesting Verizon was shitty and straight talk is good.

Used to be that the Wal-Mart prepaid carriers used Verizon for CDMA phones and AT&T for GSM phones... not sure if that's still even a useful distinction.

In any case, I used Total Wireless (very similar to Straight Talk) for years and thought it was really good. I'd hear other people complain about their bills and just wonder WTF they were getting for all that money that I wasn't.

When I was with Sprint 20 years ago, my big complaint was far-too-frequent dead zones/no cell service, so I switched to Verizon and dead zones have been relatively rare.

When I considered T-Mobile a few years ago, bc of some extremely low monthly price deal that also offered Unlimited Data, the T-Mobile rep actually told me not to switch (she personally had Verizon) bc whie you have unlimited data, after what amounts to watching two movies, vides will "buffer" until the next month rolls around!

I stuck with Verizon and have been leery of any new/growing service with great sounding deals ever since.

Been with straightalk for several years, cheap and easy to deal with. No contract so I am not locked into long term contracts. No complaints from me about them.

Seems like an odd way to brag about having a new Tahoe.

I’ve also had straight talk for years, probably a decade. No issue at all.

I was an at&t customer for about 15 years. After they added 20 dollars to my bill each month for 5 months in a row, I fired them.

It's a phone man. The speakers are crap in all phones. Of all the things to tout.
