Consumer Cellular is the best.

Do they have any good phones? My work phone is an iPhone and personal is android(probably 4-5 years old now) and I hate this iphone.
I am currently with verizon, have been for probably 15 plus years. Paying 260ish a month for 3 phones on an old truly unlimited plan. 30 of that is for payments on a one newer phone. Insurance is also included in that and I have had zero issues with that. Submit a claim online in about 5 mins, new phone has always shown up the very next day no matter where we were at. My service has also been excellent no matter where I have been at. Please do update in a few weeks though, if I can get same service for less... I'm all for that

I don't know why people still buy plans. Pay as you go seems to be fine to me, and usually cost less.

Ive had Cricket for years, zero issues and all unlimited. You people paying out the arse for phone service are insane.

It’s not outdated. It’s basically an iPhone 11
I like the size and feel of the iPhone 8
Best of both world for me

I don't use a lot of mobile data, and I don't spend time on my phone like a woman, so I don't need a lot. I've been using Tracfone without incident for 4 years now, and am generally pleased. I spend less than $200 per year by buying annually, and only buy what I need in terms of minutes and data and texts. There's no way in hell I'd pay what some people are paying for companies like Verizon.

I have a huge difference in sound call quality since changing. I’m not a very Tec person with phones but I don’t know if it is because I am no longer using Verizon towers or the new phone. The phone is much faster than my iPhone 8 and the speakers are a lot more pound with more bass
Their is no such thing as a straight talk tower
It's running off either att or verizon. All smaller companies rent equipment and space from them.

I've been on the $35 straight talk plan for years and love it. I buy a new phone every couple of years. Currently rocking a Google Pixel 4a for something like $300.

We have Cricket, 5 lines unlimited (supposedly may slow down after 22 gigs, per phone, during peak times.) Use ATT towers. $125/month. I bought a Samsung Galaxy A11 from Walmart, $99 and it works great. No service fees as I did all transferring work myself, which was easy as I am not very tech savvy.

Nope it pulls from all of them
Walmart may use a variety of towers, but each phone uses only one system. I had Straight Talk for 10 years and was happy with it. I picked a good Samsung Galaxy phone for Straight Talk because it used Verizon towers, and that worked out well.

Straight Talk is great. I used to have it. I have now switched to cricket cause it offers much better family deals.
My family of 4 all with unlimited 4Ge data, calls, and texts is 130 for all of our phones. $60 for the first, $30 for the second two, and then they let me add a fourth for $10. It will throttle after 20G of data used if you are in a really congested area though, but straight talk will too.
Straight talk uses several cell service towers, cricket only uses AT&T towers.
The only downfalls I have had with either is that...
1. If you are in a congested area (like at a college football game) your data is throttled to almost unusable, but calls and texts work.
2. When I tried to switch my samsung galaxy(bought through straight talk) to cricket I found out that it would only work on straight talk... even though it was my phone and unlocked. Not sure if all their phones are this way, but something to look into before buying a phone from them.

AT&T had a deal going if you traded an 8 or better you got $700 off the 12.
So I got an Iphone 12 for $300. Dropped my monthly payment from $36 to $12 for the actual cost of the phone

Mint mobile is the way to go.

If I was single, I’d go with one of the discount providers. Wife and kids, I’ve got to go with something reliable. Even if it’s $150 more a month.
The first time she tries to use the phone and the data is throttled or service spotty, it would be my butt.

It's only happened to me a few times in 7 years. But I live near and work in Huntsville. Not the most congested area, but it's not rural either.
The phone/text service has always worked.
It's worth it to us for the extra two grand or more a year.

Dude I switched three years ago to straight talk! Never thought I’d like prepaid but it’s literally the best service I’ve ever gotten in the states. It does not work for me in Mexico though even with the international package. The internet is fast and service a great. I highly recommend
