It's a free country. They can still wear masks.
I think, more likely, they're embarrassed to wear masks when others do not, and therefore want to make everyone wear masks.
Kind of the same way gays and transgenders want everyone to acknowledge the legitimacy of their beliefs - they're embarrassed if others do not condone their behavior.
Cuz guilt. They fundamentally know it's wrong, but want peer pressure to force society to condone it.

And the underlying psychological reason for this type of tyrannical behavior is to force others to legitimize their beliefs.
This is about people who know they are wrong, but want to force other people to agree with them despite that fact.
They're insecure, adult-coloring-book pansy liberal moral degenerates. Period.
They KNOW they're free to wear masks, but would be ashamed to do that when other people aren't. Ergo, to reduce their shame, they want to force you do wear a mask, too.
