Texas director of recruiting Brandon Harris is the top candidate to join the L.A. Rams as an assistant QBs coach, according to my sources. Interviewed well and was offered the job. Rams are waiting for his decision. Texas is in danger of losing Harris after Bryan Carrington

Maybe he is better at teaching someone else how to play QB rather than playing it himself

Something about "Those who can, can. Those who can't, teach."

Good for him.

He must be a pretty good coach. That’s crazy considering the fact that no one at LSU knew how to coach him

Maybe if his coach wasn't chasing tail all of the time he would have had more than 3 plays.

I root for Harris and hope he does well. If you root against him for collegiate mishaps due to the worst offensive situation imaginable; shame on you.

He's a really smart and hardworking kid. He also has tons of talent.

Just because under the lights he panicked and couldn't operate well under pressure doesn't mean he can't be a great QB coach.

Very happy for the dude. Has clearly done a great job of developing into an adult and respected football "industry guy". Hate all you want about his playing career (probably mostly not his fault), but he is making something of himself and i think its awesome.

Pretty crazy how fast he's risen through the coaching rankings. Must be a bright young fella. Good luck to him and hopefully he continues to rise

He was even worse at UNC -

It's a very rare skill to keep your cool and go through QB progressions when 300 lb monsters are trying to murder you. He just didn't have it.

In practice, when they couldn't hit him, he was absolute money apparently. He's a really smart guy.

It truly is incredible how low you’re willing to sink, while also vehemently defending Orgeron with every ounce of energy you have

You are a sad, pathetic person

I mean, this seems to be the case for most coaches. Most of them didn't exactly light it up during their playing career.

He was a phenomenally talented QB, but like you said he couldn't play in game. Was the best QB in the country at practice, but was an absolutely trainwreck come Saturday. Some people aren't great under pressure, and some are brandon harris...

His personality, work ethic, and character were never his issues at LSU. He could have been a total malcontent and a poison in the locker room when he lost his job and he didn’t. I will always respect him for that. I wish him nothing but the best and be happy if LSU ever hired him as a coach/analyst in the future.

Right.

And now he gets to learn from McVey. Can't really get too much better of a boss on a resume if you're a QB coach.
