Don't you get it? One political party doesn't believe your stuff is your stuff. No, private property rights is a priciple of a free people, and one party does not want you free.

But go ahead and vote against the guy who tweets.

ETA: And most of the other political party just sits back and lets them do it, as long as you keep voting for them so they can keep their lifetime pensions and healthcare while you actually work for a living.

Wasn’t everyone supposed to pay less in taxes if you earned less than $400,000?

IIRC, the liberal fricksticks on here were adamant that Joe was being truthful.

They will spend .2% of the .1% collected should this become law.

Agree. It's easier to raise an existing tax then implement a new one. This is just a beginning of "wealth taxes" to fund the redistribution of wealth from the oppressors to the oppressed.

Bernie Sanders has proposed this before and it’s impact is significant for someone that is even just a somewhat active trader. It’s not uncommon for the stock values that are traded during the year to equal to several times the total value of the stocks in the account. It’ll add up quickly.

Why do you assume that? It bites into their profits, but it's just that, profit, so why the hell would they quit over .1%?

A 0.1% tax on stock, bond and derivative transactions could raise $777 billion for the federal government over a decade, according to a 2018 estimate by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office.

Perhaps just a ol fashioned shakedown.

Money...er donations flow to the party without lifting a finger. Besides a well timed leak of course.

frick these people.

I'm sick of it. I grew like $2800 into an account I can be proud of and either use as a down payment for a house or split between the kids for their college.

This means sometimes I day trade under my limit but still requires a significant amount to make anything of the trade. Their 0.1% ads up. I already started out 100k in the hole between medical bills and student loans ( I was poor) to crawl out from under that debt to get ahead, only to get drug back down. ( Now that shite is probably being forgiven)

They want to make some enemies, keep fricking pressing people like me. fricking taxation without representation.

I bet that dumb James Brown looking bitch Maxine doesn't know what calls, puts, options, margins, etc are.. Yet her fricking stupid arse is going to tax it?

During a heated exchange at a hearing last week, Democratic congresswoman Rashida Tlaib pushed back against Citadel Securities founder Ken Griffin's concerns about a tax.

That piece isn't slanted. Not one bit.

This is a way to tax “tax deferred” IRA’s and guess what? Roths

Roth’s attraction was that they would not be taxed. Guess Obama is closing the “loopholes” as he put it.

Too many people made too much under Trump, they must now pay.

The fed has dumped trillions in to the markets to promote liquidity... Biden wasn't to slap a tax on transactions which would... reduce liquidity.

Clown. F*cking. World.

Uh, not what Janet Yellen said in her confirmation hearing. She said "we will definitely have to look at taxing unrealized gains"
