My grandparents just spotted a black panther roaming around their house/shop. They live in Claiborne county. Unfortunately no pics. They tried getting pics of its tracks but the snow was too hard to find any. Personally we always knew there were some but never could confirm. Kinda scary to think I was just deer hunting over there a few weeks ago.

Well if they did, it was an escaped exotic such as a leopard or jaguar. No such thing as a black mountain lion.

Tell your gramps to be careful around the panther. In my experience with several shades of panther, the black ones seem to bring the worst luck.

Why you scared? They are all around when I hike in Tennessee.

I saw two eating a roadkill in Homochitta natl forest in 86.
Not black but still panthers.
Still hard to believe even though I saw it myself.

The mayor of Jackson sounds like he may be a Black Panther.
