re: 22 LR bolt action vs. Ruger 10/22; Now looking for Optic Suggestions

I have more than a few 22 rifles, most of the ones mentioned here,my most accurate is made by CZ,the most fun to shoot for me is an old Marlin lever action.Buy the one that you like, don't worry, you will probably be buying more of them!!
Build it as big as you possibly can,you will run out of room fast! I used Mallet 10 years ago, shop is doing fine, even after going through a fire and being rebuilt.I would make the lean too a little wider, minimun 12 foot sides,on shop and have it insulated and sheet the inside walls,if you are installing receptacles, install plenty,or invest in a wall mounted cord reel on each corner, also, outside outlets are a great addition. The Mallet higher grade building are built very well,it will not rot from water intrusion or ground water intrusion, just because of the way they are built.everything that touches the ground is either incased in plastic,or sits on concrete with a metal outside protection barrier. The one thing I wish I had done is built mine 16 feet tall,I went 12 feet ,while it works,I can not park my RV inside the shop.I had to build a seperate RV cover.Get the concrete finisher to put and extra smooth finish on,buy them a case of beer and a pizza, they will hook you up! Air conditioning,I would look at a mini split unit for sure.

30 gallon with a Black Rain single nozzle, sits in the back of my Can am,I have a switch inside to cut it on and off,it covers about 15 feet per pass.
I run the Michelin LTX,not a true all terrain tire, but they do well in the dirt, and get the best fuel mileage I have found in a truck tire. They also last beyond 50,000 miles if rotated properly.

I currently own a Can am 1000 Linited,it,is a great machine, all stock except a set of 30 inch all terrain tires.I have owned a Honda 1000-5,engine was great, transmission was hot garbage,I also owned a Rhino 450,that I can say was the best unit,maintenace/longevity,that I have ever had,I put it through hell, and had well over 7000 miles when I sold it to my friend 3 years ago,and he is still running it! Runs like a sewing machine!

You definetly can not go wrong with a Ruger SR 1911.Great shooting weapon at a very reasonable price. There are a lot of better 1911's,I have a few,but the Ruger is as reliable as any other one I have,And I am not scared to scratch it,or toss it in the glove box of my side by side, tractor etc.

For that budget,I would say a Ruger Stainless Commander.

I have a 1999 Tacoma,we have it as a spare vehicle, but it is a great little truck.I wouldn't want to take it on a long out of state trip, packed down with gear, just because of its limited storage space. But for a knock around town and to and from hunting camp vehicle,it is great!

Black hunter in a 45lb draw weight would be a great beginner choice.
The old Skeeter Wilson stands.
We had at least 20 at an old lease I was on,very well made stands, the sling seats were comfortable!

I have been a Toyota fan most of my adult life, that being said,I have driven the Ram's for the last 8 years as a company work truck, without a single issue.I recently bought a Toy hauler, and while my Tundra could pull it,it was scary with a crosswind.I ordered a Ram 2500 diesel in February, received it it May,and I have to tell you,I think its the best truck I have ever driven,no more worries while pulling the TT.If Toyota made a 3/4 ton diesel,I would own one.But for now,I will stick with the Ram.

The cat has been seen at least 4 times in the last 8 months in this area, thats the only reason I was asking.Someone might even have some very good daylight pictures of him.

The Shiloh Road I am talking about is West of Hwy 61,near the Big Black River in Claiborne County
Do they happen to live near Shiloh Road?
I sold my 2005 Tundra to a friend at deer camp,he is still rolling it,with over 300,000 miles on it.
I have a two month old 2020 4wd limited, owned an 05,2010 and an 18,all 4wd Tundras. The 2020 has more charging ports, sunroof, bed lights, push button start, and a bigger screen on radio,Thats about it.I will say,the 2020 gets better gas mileage than the other ones I have owned,on the highway at speed limit, the truck is getting 18,and sometimes 19 mpg.My 2010 and 2018 would do no better that 17 on highway.I really like the Tundras, they have been very reliable.
I have 4 or 5 of them, they are scary sharp right out of the box,and take a fine edge when sharpening is needed.I have some expensive knives that don't clean up as well as these knives.Great low cost knives to put in the boat, truck,ATV,and hunting sack.
They will replace the blade,it will run you a little more than $20,plus shipping.
