Good dip in Global Atomic.

Still here, holding my UUUU. Pretty much treading water the last 6 months but the dips appear to have gradually higher floors.

Still here too... gambled on some Jan 23 options during the summer last year (doh) but otherwise still long and strong.

There’s definitely a mid to long term opportunity here.. seems like most are unprofitable or expensive on a valuation basis.
If you can identify the companies with the shortest runway to profitability.. I think that’s the best bet.
I’m in the camp that these names might need late 2020s time horizons to stabilize. Still early, although the US policy (Inflation Reduction Act) seem to have helped speed up revenue growth.
What’s the latest definitive MT list of Uraniam plays?
CEG (Constellation Energy Corp)
CCJ (Cameco Corp)
UUUU (Energy Fuels Inc)
SMR (Nuscale Power Corp)
ETA:
SRUUF (Uranium Trust)
NATKY (Kazatomprom ADR)

Page 12 has my thoughts on better plays in the sector for whatever they are worth

NuScale went public through a reverse merger with a Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC), a deal that closed in early May. As part of the deal, the company raised $235 million from a private investment in public equity (PIPE) transaction that funded at close.
When the PIPE shares become registered and the investors holding them are free to trade, that $235 million slug of stock will be hard for the market to absorb. For context, the stock currently trades only about $10 million worth of notional value each day.
This is real. I’ve got two de-SPAC holdings. One has crushed it, the other is an empty bag. But both had massive selloffs when the lockup period expired.
Keep in mind that the holders of the SPAC issued stock essentially are holding all gains and have waited years to come into a liquidity event.
Doesn’t change the business, but can wildly affect stock price of SMR.
It would be extremely helpful if someone could find the lockup period expiration dates.

I think U.Un (SRUUF) has to be prominent on this list as well. Probably the safest play next to Cameco (CCJ) in this trade

Context on SPACs (SMR)
This was a research report from 10/22
93% of SPACs below IPO price. 74% below $5. Doesn’t mean all SPACs are bad companies.. just the valuations are extremely high and insiders often sell as soon as lockup expirations occur.
I know little of Uranium and SMR specifically.. but through this thread hope to learn more and I will be a buyer of several names in here soon.

Agreed. This is the Uranium commodity futures contracts correct?
Also.. Kazatomprom ADR symbol is NATKY. For a dividend play it’s got a 5.8% yield.

Anybody watch this interview with Warren Irwin (not too familiar with him)? Seems like a somewhat "bearish" take on the trade, but the way he phrases things is a little wishy washy.
He talks pretty boldly about how there is actually way more supply on the sidelines than bulls think and that the demand growth isn't coming soon enough to affect current supply. In the same breath though he says at the right price there is plenty of uranium ready to flood the market and I thought to myself, "no shite, at the right price there is plenty of most things." He also says that if there are enough financial flows it would disrupt his supply thesis so that was a nice thing to hear seeing as I think SPUT, YCA, and other financial players could really disrupt this market.
Curious to hear anyone's thoughts on this if they've seen it. Always trying to work through the bear case of anything I'm invested in.

U.Un (SRUUF)
This is the Sprott Physical Uranium Trust which gives you exposure to the actual price of U308. This vehicle is a highly liquid way to invest in the actual commodity and why I think it is the safest play because you don't deal with any company risk that the other equities possess. Whenever it trades at a premium to it's NAV, it issues units into the market to raise cash in order to buy more U308.
If I were to go back in time I would probably be heavier into the ETF's and have less personal exposure to some of the speculative juniors and explorers.
ETF's:
URA
URNM
URNJ(New)
URNM and URNJ are my favorites here. URNJ is focused on juniors so it will have a higher degree of leverage. URNM holds the big boys: Cameco, Kazatomprom, and it actually holds SPUT (U.UN) as well.

Here's a twitter link I found refuting some of Warren's points. Nice to see a little bit of this; I don't like when all I hear is bull talk. Gotta keep things in perspective

Uranium is still one of the best bets in the market in my opinion at this time. It's not if. It's when. It's smart to have a diverse portfolio of producers, developers, and explorers depending on your risk appetite.
I've made a few adjustments to my portfolio over the past year. Standard Uranium has been a bust, but that's the game you play when you buy into explorers. I got out of that one. Luckily ended up in the green before it really tanked.
A few i'm interested in and have started positions in over the past 6 months are Myriad Uranium and Strathmore. Not sure if I've mentioned Labrador, but that's another one I got into via Encore and have added to it since.

FWIW there was some mention of the Sprott junior Uranium fund URNJ.
Here's a link to the companies in the fund: LINK
It happens to include the names I think are potentially likely to significantly appreciate in value.
A very effective approach to investing in Uranium would be just buying URNM and URNJ.

I did have heavier positions in URA but trimmed in late 2021. I only have a light position now. But instead of increasing my URA position again, can you give me a rundown or comparison to URNM and/or UNRJ?
TIA

I would refer to this statement. URA isn't a fully uranium supply-side focused ETF like the others. URNM has more holdings of the "blue chip" uranium equities while URNJ is focused on smaller uranium miners that are more risky but have more leverage to the upside as well. I think a good balance between the two ETF's is a good way to play it.
