Oh so you went there? Around what years if you don’t mind me asking!

After “The Church” bought it, it was a dump. Don’t know what it was like before. Went to some sporting events and for some reason I thought it was going to be much nicer and larger than it was and it was only like a year after CLA folded and the other place took over. Saw Galloway championship banners in gym.

Don’t do public school. They’re shaming white kids with their new reading curriculum.

No... just had some old connections there and feeling nostalgic tonight is all!

They produced Michael Clayton for LSU

Also Josh White who was inexplicably not recruited by LSU, went to UNT and came to the PMAC and beat LSU’s arse

Not as big of a star but we had Rufus Alexander that had a decent career at OU.

Roshaun Matthews was a great DE for CLA too.

Dante Mackenzie RB was good too.

Momma 19 tried to send me there in 10th grade. The principal bragged how some teachers caught some students smoking weed on the levee and called their parents...Mom said, "How nice for them," stood up, thanked her for her time, and we left.

God, I love my Mom.

I was there for two years in the mid 90’s. I think the only one from our class who played football for LSU was Roshaun Matthews.

Can confirm, dump of a school and waste of money.

There was a woman that taught 9th grade honors English in the early 00's. She was genuinely one of the best teachers I've ever had.

A much better alternative to BR public school.

I’ve talked to enough people in the know:

A. Church and school had a major split over money. Heated. Cost the church much more in the end — membership dropped from 500 on Sunday to 100,

B. No written contracts between CEO pastor and employees. This was never a good ending.

C. Female teacher and 15 year old student— well publicized.

D. School became broke. New coaches and ideas flooded in. Same empty promises.

E. Employees I know say they never had access to direct deposit. It was 20th century check pick up.

F. Without warning, pastor and CEO sold to the Church International. They stormed the school and brought a major team of snake charmers to try to intermingle with a deflated CLA. Most decent teachers left.

Devitt and Weems were excellent English teachers when they were there.

Mrs Devitt, was the teacher, not Autry.

If the campus is now just sitting dormant, maybe St George could make it one of the high schools they're gonna need.

The Voltron Clique ruled Baton Rouge with an iron fist.

This would have been honors English, I think Autry taught the regular class.

My brother played from 94-97. Went to the State semis twice and to the quarters once.

I was a student there from 2003 to 2005. It was okay, nothing too special. Played soccer and a little bit of basketball there. And yes, Mrs Devitt was awesome!
