I feel like this sums up the Payton/Brees Saints pretty well.

In the 2010s, the Saints won the division more than anyone else, but we were the only team in the division to not make a Super Bowl.

Tampa didn’t make a Super Bowl in the 2010s, but yea 2011 and 2018 both probably should have been super bowl years. frick Gregg Williams and goodell.

Well, the 2020 season is part of the 2010s so I am giving them that

The first year was the Year 1, you do the math after that...

Saints are unlucky. In sports you can't just be good you have to have some luck. Saints get in these games and stupid shite just happens. Tom Brady is the definition of luck. Like the Super Bowl against Seattle where they decide to pass instead of run Lynch, or the Falcons failing every way possible to blow a 25 point lead. Take Tampa's last two wins. Cook fumble's like a bitch and completely flips the game after the Saints were going for a likely killshot to go up 2 scores. Or that retard for the Packers who let Miller get behind him for a TD 8 seconds left before half time.

So here’s a a good one.

It’s not the refs
It’s not Goodell
It’s not Williams

We just have bad luck!

Nice.

So 2000 was considered the 1990s? Sounds about right.

I see your point, but, mathematically, that's not so for the same reason that the new Millenium started on 1 Jan 2001.
The reason is because there was no Year Zero when we started counting. Year One was the first year, not Year Zero.

So you don’t blame Payton, who is the head coach for the failures of 2011 and 2018, along with the poor roster construction in the middle of the 2010s? He has more organizational power than any other head coach not named Belichick. His in-game management shortcomings has always been severely undercriticized.

It's CRUSHING to LOSE a Superbowl, so, just MAKING it there is great, but, here's a fact: half of all participants in the sum total of all SBs played are LOSERS! That meant that 50% of all particular-game SB participants are Losers.

It's sobering.

As such, here's what I think: If your team is the first team to win FOUR Division titles in a row in your Division, YOU should be very satisfied with your fandom for that team.

That's my opinion.

Sean Payton is not a great coach ,hes very good not great.
New Englands coach is great. if BB was here the last 12 yrs
we would have been in at least 4 SBs with Drew.
You dont lose to the Rex Grossmans ,Case Keenam,A.Smiths
Cousins, of the world in the playoff and be considered
great. In our last 4 playoff games we might have averaged
21 ppg. wheres the game planning at when you have a hall
of fame QB and your offense sucks in the most important
part of the season.
