The moratorium on evictions personally pisses me straight off. Protection for the renters, but none for the owners (delaying some foreclosures is not protection in any sense).

We are fortunate, our only rental property only went 45 days behind but was finally caught up in a couple months. However, I know others in the area that are getting royally screwed right now, renters basically squatting for 9+ months making no effort at all, some with foreclosure action started but now 'on hold'. Everyone just left in limbo, but the owners are the ones who will be screwed with no legal remedy to be made whole.

Leave it to the gov't to have great intentions but royally screw things up.

The biggest takeaway for me is that one reversal of the 1776 commission. Specifically, it states they are no longer looking for racial equality. They are now looking for racial equity.

You have people just sitting and taking advantage of this, even if they are working. Some are using it as a no rent situation and spending the money knowing they can go out and just rent another place when it is over.

So, why could Trump not undo DACA but Biden can undo for example the requirement that only American citizens be counted in the census? can someone explain this please?

Democrat Presidents are allowed to rule by fiat while Republican Presidents are not allowed to change any of those changes because it will affect people.

extends the existing nationwide moratorium on evictions and foreclosures until at least march 31.

So I can not pay my mortgage? Does it still affect credit if I miss payments?

Talk about affordable housing.. which worked out very well the first time around.

I thought Executive Orders were an overreach of power and am impeachable offense. When did this change?

I agree but isn't the census over until 2030? Does this EO have any immediate effect?

It should be but the Census Bureau delayed the release (funny thing that happened)!

Over the last 4 years, like every norm broken by you know who.

As well as acting cabinet positions. I hope Biden learned how to bypass norms too.

That Census EO is going to be interesting.

The Census has already occurred. This EO can only operate prospectively.

The SCOTUS' DACA frickery will be a bludgeon

Just think about saying with a straight face we are going to base congressional representation on people that are here illegally and can't vote.

They are going to put the ability of conservatives to win an election so out of reach it will not even be worth challenging.
