Penny auction at foreclosed Michigan farm (1936)
At penny auctions farmers would conspire to offer low bids, resulting in a low return to the creditor. The final buyer would then return the property to the destitute farmer
Hangman nooses served as a warning to squirrely bidders

At first I thought that can't be that old that's a Simpsons pinball machine. Then I thought to myself that has to be kind of old because that is a pinball machine.

I get the general idea, but:
No umbrellas at the beaches in 1970? Really?
No sunglasses? Like they didn't have sunglasses in 1970, and sunglasses are a BAD thing?
No 'various creams'? Coppertone and other suntan lotions were around well before 1970, are probably in those bags or towels, and personally, I'd prefer something modern with a little SPF anyway
No white lines in the sky? You mean there were no jet planes back in 1970?
Also, from the landscape, architecture, and attire, this appears to be a non-USA beach. South American or European, maybe.

Expert sharpshooter Annie Oakley comes out of retirement to practice for the Fred Stone Circus and Motor Hippodrome at the Mineola Fair Grounds just outside the city limits, July 27, 1922.
Oakley performed in Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show from 1885 to 1902.
